Our motel has both family and singles catered for. We have a range of rooms to suit most sinarios. Queen rooms, Bunk rooms for small families and Family or Interconnecting rooms for larger groups. We now also have our fully renovated 2 bedroom house available. Both bedrooms with King size beds, flat screen t.v. and ensuite to both. Our motel is just one hour inland from the Great Ocean Road and central to Warrnambool, Ballarat, Geelong and 1.15hrs from Avalon airport. Colac is the Gateway to the Otway National Park and is on the end of the Volcanic chain with stunning views of the lakes and craters in our district. Wanting to plan a short adventure?. Reviewed By Julie DEasy to book online, surprised at the cleanliness and standard of amenities in the room and a warm sincere welcome as well as genuine good wishes for a safe journey made this a very pleasant overnight stay. The room (number 1) was obviously newly renovated and decorated. Finishing touches were thoughtfully provided…a USB port next to the bed for charging devices, fresh milk for a cuppa not long life milk and a clean iron and ironing board. I would highly recommend staying here. Although on the main road the rooms were silent and sleeping was easy.

staff shortage
Reviewed By platypus150Covid has meant a loss of staff and the bar and bistro are both closed. It also means that the rooms are not as well serviced as they should be. Our room was without soap and the carpet needed a vacuum (crumbs from someone's pizza). For a room with three beds we had two cups and one teaspoon, all dirty. To be fair, when we mentioned the soap they sent out for some and brought extra blankets and cleaning materials on request. I should mention the steep stairs as all rooms are on the first floor. Wifi is free and room facilities do work (TV, fan, heater, electric jug). The hot water in the ensuite bathroom comes quickly and is plentiful.

Reviewed By BillS2743The impression of the place from the street is poor, but this is a substantial establishment with good, clean, sizeable rooms. It has all the usual facilities, comfortable beds and good bathroom. Plenty of parking spaces.

Noisy and smokey night
Reviewed By SueB480We arrived on a Friday night and the motel was old but pretty quiet until about 9pm when a dozen or more SES trucks pulled in for the night. Our room was surrounded by people partying all night. They were smoking straight outside our door and the fumes were coming in under the door. The noise was so loud we couldn't hear the television, they didn't stop until well after 2am. The following morning we complained to reception as we had specifically asked to be in a quiet room. The woman was so rude she said that if she had of moved us to another room we would have complained about traffic noise. There was no apology, no customer service, she couldn't care less - we were the problem!!! Never again will we stay here or recommend it to other people.
