Reviewed By KarelB33Be aware that this is a 3-star hotel; that means: no in-room amenities like coffee, hot water, iron board. Soap/Shower Gel/Shampoo from an "all-in-one" dispenser in the bathroom. + Lots of free parking space + The hotel lies next to a park with quiet surroundings. + My room was spacious and appeared clean. Bathroom was clean too. + The personnel was friendly. Unfortunately: - There was NO WiFi during my entire stay. Some problem that the IT at headquarters couldn't fix. This was a business trip, and having internet was crucial for my stay; I ended up using a lot of 4G data during these 3 days. IMO one can reasonably expect WiFi to be available, and I would expect to be informed if the WiFi is broken. - I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (Thu - Sun). There was NO housekeeping in my room at any given time during my stay. These 2 things are the main reasons for me not coming back to this hotel another time. Then there were a number of smaller things that may or may not bother you: - They don't have any information perm/brochure/papers in the room. If you look at your keycard holder, you will see a website address where you can find info. I found that inconvenient. - Breakfast/Restaurant is in a separate building, you have to go outside and cross the yard to get there. Not ideal at 7-8am in December rain. - Breakfast is reasonable; limited choice, but good enough. - There's only one coffee machine in the restaurant and even though it was relatively quiet, there's almost always 1-2 people waiting in line for it. - Ash trays are placed next to every entrance. There are no designated smoking zones, and some people will smoke right next to the entrance. - The rooms have carpet, which I personally find less hygienic than wooden floor/parquet/laminate (particularly in a hotel room)

Reviewed By Dee RWe stayed here because of a project in Dortmund. This place is terrific and the internet is really fast, consistent and reliable. Food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Room is exceptionally clean.

Reviewed By Klaus Eeven in the best room category the air conditioning and the fridge didn't work. The water was in the shower tray and the electricity kept going out. In the restaurant, an order didn't work completely in 3 days. I was constantly asked to pay for breakfast, even though it was included. Nothing is right here.

Miserable Staff. Not at all welcoming
Reviewed By GuyWikeleyStayed here for one night in a single room when travelling to Dortmund for sporting event. Once at the hotel to check in, the male receptionist couldn't have been more miserable. It was as much as he could do to check me in. He couldn't be bothered to show me where the room was, refused to speak any English (for an hotel owner, incredible!), and I just about understood that entry late at night was round the back. The room was clean enough and what I expected for the money. Breakfast was adequate. I was put off by the poor reception and I would definitely never stay there again.
