Calling this place FawltyTowers.IE. as anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Tired rooms with no soundproofing. Stained sheets, stained ceilings. Ancient furniture somebody's granny must have donated. I only put 'holiday' in Google description as it didn't offer a 'disaster' category. Had to move rooms twice, in the first case because somebody next door left their toilet air conditioner on in the night and disturbed the sleep. Why would they do that, we were asked at reception, as if we were expected to come up with some sort of psychological analysis of the people in the next room. Well, we can't tell you why they would do that, but they did it, so can we move rooms, please? Like, we're not asking to move rooms for fun here. Moved to a supposedly quiet part of the hotel and just settling down for a nap when a door slams loudly in next room. Later on, no water for the shower. Was told the water was off because some work was being done. When shower finally came on it was cold to lukewarm. Jacuzzi not working in leisure centre. But, what the hell, who actually needs a leisure centre or a gym when you can move luggage so often? The online menu did not match the reality, as it wasn't available, but it was still up on their website as if it was. Table service good, but any eating experience spoiled by the sort of run of the mill fare you put up with from a hillbilly motorway diner. Burger with outdated lettuce clearly their idea of a specialty. Be sure to take your indigestion tablets, and don't expect apologies for any inconvenience in this place. Had the thundering gall to charge full payment after a miserable stay. Only thing missing was Manuel.

Booked a table to get a feel for the River Bank as a possible wedding venue. When we arrived after a 45 minute drive a member of staff showed us to a table that was behind a door. I understand with outdoor dining businesses are trying to accommodate everyone. So when I asked a female member of staff had they another free table she turned around & shouted to a member of staff in front of 9 other customers that ‘WE DIDN’T LIKE THE TABLE’ We couldn’t believe it & other customers looking at us. We were so close to leaving but as we had drove up & very hungry proceeded to order. Our food arrived & was lovely. The female member of staff then proceeded to asking all the tables around us if there meal was ok & if needed anything else while ignored us.

My partner and I stayed here last night for a friends wedding close by. From start to finish the hosts were so welcoming and friendly! Even helping us with directions to avoid the St Patricks Day parade traffic. Breakfast was beautiful! Would certainly recommend!
