Great location. Clean rooms. Friendly and efficient employees. Carolina Beach is a nice relaxing place for a quick getaway. Clean beaches and very inviting pool was exactly what I needed. Take a trip and see for yourself.

This was a last minute one night trip to just get out of town and relax. Golden Sands was the perfect place to do this! Finding the office was a little tricky but check in was smooth and the staff was very friendly. The buildings are older but are maintained well and the room was spotless. Being right on the beach and having a balcony was amazing! We can't wait to come back and relax some more.

People make the trip and that starts at the front desk with Leslie. I came in to register wearing a covid mask. She took one look at me and asked if I wanted her to put on a mask. She understood me and I really appreciated that. Never happened before. Margie, in house keeping, was also great. When I needed something she was right there to help. She made me feel at home. Thanks to both of them for making my stay a good one.

So disappointed In room. We were put in a building that is not pictured on the website. It was an old, metal building that was turned into 8 rooms. No windows to look out. Air Co ditioning was a small WI dow unit, ugh. Upon arrival there was a notice that there was a linen shortage and were asked to reuse towels. In the room we found only 2 bath towels, 2 wash clothes, 1 hand towel, and one bath mat. Totally unacceptable for a 2 night stay where the cost was $429.00 total. I will not use this hotel again since there are plenty more options of hotels and condos in Carolina Beach.

Quaint 16 room oceanfront hotel with swimming pool. All rooms are non smoking and no pets allowed. Our buildings run perpendicular to the beach but our top floor rooms have a great view of the ocean from the balcony's. We also have a private beach access on site. Close to the boardwalk, convenient stores, restaurant, and the carnival when it is in town. Great location to watch the Thursday night fireworks. Located across the street from the SeaWitch Cafe & Tiki Bar.
Booked a trip in early April for Memorial Weekend. I called them directly, I did NOT use any 3rd party sites. Booked two nights for $607.94 Received a confirmation email 12 days later confirming the reservation. May 22nd rolls around (6 days prior to the trip)and I receive an email for $1047.41. I called and Brittany the general manager said the person who took my reservation was new and messed up. It's a 3 day minimum so the new total was it. We cannot stay for three nights, or else we wouldn't have booked. She was incredibly rude, but gave my number to the owner who called me with *67. He offered me a very small discount and said the rules are a 3 day minimum, and it wouldn't be fair to the several other guests this happened to as well. I guess it's fair for them to take a reservation and not honor it. They cancelled my vacation 6 days prior to me going. They lost me as a customer for life over a few hundred bucks. On Facebook they posted under new management this month, and it doesn't seem to be any good. We stayed there about 4 years ago. Location is good, but it was a cheap motel which we were fine with. We didn't need anything fancy. But when you start charging the prices you do with this awful customer service. Yeah good luck with that. I would strongly avoid them at all costs. Even if you book a trip with them you run the chance of them changing your price and/or terms. Why risk it? There are so many other hotels and motels in the area. Thankfully I found someone else with availability for almost the same price. Steer very far away from them. Lastly they charged my card for way more money without my consent. If you book your trip with this place this is what you risk. Not worth it.

Dont even try going here not worth the headache. I had one of my employees stay here and we had to change a room (less than a half an hour after booking) and not only did we get charged two rooms, we got charged a cancelation fee as well, when we never canceled we just changed rooms. manager when on the phone completely unprofessional (the only "professional" word that could come out her mouth is maam)otherwise completely unhelpful, and wanted to get us off the phone it was very apperant. so we are out money, they refuse to give that money back, so guess whos getting disputed. just don't waste your time
