We booked this short break through Britanny Ferries in early May. The hotel is centrally located in this small town, and because the road system is a myriad of one way streets we never heard other traffic, even on market day. The welcome was very warm and our room was ready after lunch. We had room 6, spacious with a good en-suite and tea/coffee facilities. We overlooked the two hotel terraces to the rear, it was very pleasant indeed. There are 4 car parking places behind the hotel, but plentiful free parking opposite and elsewhere in the town; however Thursday is market day when these car parks are closed. Our only disappointment was the breakfast which did not match other French hotels we have stayed at. The croissants and crepes were laid out on the individual tables, and bread, jams and cereals at the buffet. There were packets of cream cheese but sadly no fresh cheese, ham, eggs or fresh fruit available. Local restaurants for an evening meal included a creperie opposite the church and Ty Pot which was closed when we were there. However the reception recommended the eateries on La Plage du Kelenn. It was a superb mention, they are open all day and we enjoyed lovely food (from restaurant no 3) with the sun shining over the sea.

I'm a single traveller and have visited many b&b's in my time. Vue Mer has certainly been one of the best places I've stayed! Amazing views and very friendly host, Klervi looked after me throughout the stay and made me feel at home. I highly recommend Vue Mer to everyone and will definitely return.

We had one of the worst experiences ever whilst visiting the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 4pm to be told at the reception that our room still had to be cleaned. We were told that this would only take 10 minutes. Covid 19 does not seem to have reached the hotel if management believes that 10 min is sufficient to get a room clean and safe for the next guests. The lady at the reception was friendly but stressed out as she apparently had been tasked not only with welcoming new guests but also with the cleaning of the rooms at the same time. The room had a wonderful view but was old, the furniture had seen better days, the bed lining was teared, the carpet was stained and taking a shower would wet the entire bathroom. The worst thing was that the hotel appeared to be locked at 21h30 when we returned from dinner. We called the hotel but nobody picked up the phone. In stead we got a message saying that all lines were busy and that we could leave a message. This is what we did but with no avail. We finally managed to get into the hotel because we found a backdoor that had been left open. We managed to get through the mess left in the backrooms to the kitchen and to get to our room. The next day the lady who welcomed us at the reception apologized and acknowledged that she forgot to tell us because she had been left on her own to deal with reception and cleaning. When we complained with the hotel later on we received a rude email from the hotel manager saying that he personally met us when we arrived at the hotel and that he provided us with explanations and a code that would allow us to get into the hotel when the reception was closed. This was obviously a straight lie which does give you an idea of the way this hotel is managed and how you will be treated.
