Perfect night

Reviewed By 295kayleighm

Stayed here last night for my cousins wedding and the hotel was lovely! The staff were brilliant and really polite and helpful, the food was amazing we had roast beef it was so good the beef was cooked perfectly. The prices of drinks are a bit expensive which is a down fall. The room was so clean, it was perfect the bed was comfortable, we had a good night sleep. Whilst getting ready for breakfast at 9.30 the maids did try and get in to our room, I called out to advise we are still in the room ans they walked away. We had the room booked until 10.30, I felt a bit rushed and decided to just pack up all my stuff and go straight home from breakfast rather than going back to the room. Other than the above, it was lovely!

The Countryman Hotel

Wonderful little hotel

Reviewed By Bryan M

This is a wonderful private hotel. It's been years since I have been in one (rather than a chain hotel or a large hotel) and it was brilliant. The host is lovely, the bed super comfortable and the place clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious - good quality eggs, bacon and sausage. Made a lovely change from the more corporate world of many hotels and chains. Felt like being at home. Handy location too!

A friendly, welcoming home from home

Reviewed By morosity

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely long weekend spent at Silvermoon B&B. Jenny is a very friendly and welcoming lady who is able to offer recommendations on the local area, she also has two beautiful little dogs who are very cuddly and sweet. Our room was lovely - very spacious, clean and comfortable and we felt very much at home. Silvermoon is ideally situated to allow easy travel throughout North Cornwall with Tintagel and Boscastle just a short drive up the road. There was a good choice of cooked breakfast, although we don't have much of an appetite during the morning so we didn't get a chance to try any of the cooked food on offer, the coffee was delicious though! The town of Camelford has two convenience stores and a couple of pubs, along with Peckish, which has to be one of the best chip shops I've ever been in! All in all, we had a lovely time and can 100% recommend Silvermoon to anyone else looking for a B&B :)

DON'T STAY HERE

Reviewed By mbenson777

We turned up on a wet summers day for a prior booked few days away in Cornwall. When we opened the porch door to access the front door we were greeted with the stench of dogs, then after the dog growled/barked, the proprietor rounded the corner looking rather vague. "I'm not expecting anyone today" she said. We explained that we had been for several weeks now. This did not affect the fact that she had let our previously booked room out the day before, leaving us high and dry in Cornwall trying to find somewhere else at no notice. We spent two and a half hours searching the web for replacement accommodation!! I would strongly suggest alternative accommodation is sought if looking at Greenacres because you might end up sleeping in your car if you're looking at visiting Cornwall at a busy time of year............
