We stayed in Casa Roja for three nights. The hotel is a very nicely restored “Casa de Indiano” which means a lot of traditional elements and a quiet luxury atmosphere. Staff was welcoming and accommodating for the most part. Still there were some funny things, the breakfast that was not included in our room price was really very Spanish. A large choice of “sweet” items, but cold cuts were on demand and very limited. The hotel manual boasts a bar service, that was however denied upon asking. Later the hotel owner confirmed the bar service. Bad luck I guess. We will go there again when in the area

Positives: 1) Location - great for photographers who want to explore the local beaches such as Campiecho, Gueirua and Silencio. 2) Staff were very friendly and helpful, even though they didn't speak good English. 3) Free parking. 4) Good selection of food in the restaurant for breakfast - basic breakfast cost 4.50 euro. 5) Free parking. 6) Free WiFi access. 7) Bathroom was spacious and free toiletries were provided. Negatives: 1) There was no fridge in the room. 2) No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. 3) WiFi was VERY slow. 4) Breakfast was not included in the room price. 5) Blankets on the bed had a musky smell, as if they haven't been washed for a while. 6) Double room with a sea view was a little small and there wasn't much sea to be seen ;)) 7) No A/C in the room - luckily it wasn't required during our stay. 8) The wooden construction carried noises from other rooms across the building.

Placed in Cadavedo, on the Nothern coast of Spain. Several bungalows and apartmens fully equiped in a small camp-site. Swimming pool, bar, supermarket and information desk for arranging plans and activities.
This is a great place to stay and to eat. The establishment seems to be run by a family, and Angela, the daughter, is one of the hardest workers I've seen in a long time! She made us comcortable, served us with smile on her face all the time, and generally made us feel at home. The food is abundant and good. Their set menu include two courses and includes drinks (wine, beer, or water) and desert. All good and drinks seem to never run out. Our lunches began at 2 pm and we ate until 4:30! The location is great, too! You can see the mountains on one side and the beaches (several) are in walking distance. This is a great place for a retreat from a busy world, because it is not so touristy. So, if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy God's beautiful creation, this is it! And please say "hola" to Angela!
