Nice enough

It was a bit further away from the ski lift that the actual hotel, however we were able to leave the skies and boots at the hotel ski room. + small but was enough for a family of four, kitchen is well equipped to prepare simple meals; - some traffic noise, poor ventilation in the attic where the beds are, not much insulation between rooms (we could hear the guests in the apartment next door chatting and they were not being loud).

Good food in a great location for ski touring
Reviewed By stephenwE2851IEMore a hostel than hotel, but the restaurant was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Located near the top of the Julier Pass it is ideally situated for Ski touring, not one for piste lovers though!

Located in Bivio, Hotel Post is situated on the Julier Pass Road in the Ela Nature Reserve and is certified mountain bike hotel. In a historic building dating from 1878, it offers free WiFi and a spa area with a sauna and steam bath. Guests of the Hotel Post can enjoy the Swiss cuisine in the hotel's restaurant as well as choose from an exclusive range of wines from the well-stocked cellar. The slopes of the Bivio Ski Area lead right into the village. A 12 km cross-country ski run starts right behind Hotel Post. A public indoor pool and a natural ice rink can be reached within a 3-minute walk. Several hiking and mountain biking trails can be found in the immediate vicinity. In winter, guided ski tours and snowshoeing can be provided, while in summer, guided hiking, gymnastics and relaxation walks are organized. We speak your language!

One avoids the crowds of the city and can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Village. There are many nearby restaurants and the hotel is conveniently located next to the bus stop. The first floors and top floors apparently had the best wifi coverage. The middle floors were spotty. They will be addressing this issue.

Reviewed By LSNY-12We stayed in apartment, not in the hotel itself, so there might be a difference. It was decent stay, but our apartment was on top floor, so it was a high walk up with luggage, plus slanted ceilings did not let us stand straight. the rooms are tiny, and because of slanted ceiling, the bed stands backwards, so it does not even allow the room for the night stand to keep water, watch or phone for alarm. It was good value , but not very good for comfort. Located kind of far form Pontresina and St. Morits, On the map it seems close, but it is the mountain road, so you don/t want to drive in the dark, so you are pretty much stuck there at night with nothing to do. Good for passing by as a 1 night stay, if you travel light. Nice hiking paths around and beautiful views.

Reviewed By ateach52A lovely hotel in the small Grisons town of Bivio. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bedding and an excellent restaurant with a wide choice of dishes. Good walking from the doorstep. Typical first rate Swiss hospitality! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. It was a perfect base for us to explore Alp Flix!
