Thank you Nathan Wall, a really inspired menu and sublime food. Great paring. We were at the kitchen table and were entertained. Only draw back is that the food was mostly prepped so did not see all the preparation. Great pairings of wine . Thank you

Overpriced and average afternoon tea.

We booked afternoon tea for a birthday treat for me. Friendly staff, beautiful room. We were given a menu and asked if there was anything we'd like to change, we said no it looked fine. The tea tray consisted of three small sandwiches each with hardly any filling. Two types of scones plus jam and cream which were delicious plus five other very small cake selections, none of which were particularly good. As it was my birthday they brought out a plate with happy birthday written in Chocolate with a tiny piece of fudge on the side. The good points were the room and ambiance which were lovely and the view from our table was nice. The tea pots are rediculously hot I burnt my fingers more than once and the crockery white and uninspiring. The food itself wasn't anywhere near special enough for a whopping £33 each plus gratuity, it was very average. There was little effort made for my birthday and although it was pleasent we left feeling disappointed our money wasted and a little ripped off tbh. Plenty of better afternoon teas around for half the price.

We stayed for two nights with our Greyhound. We stayed in the dog friendly Curbar Room with a great private outdoor space through our own entrance/exit. We was offered drinks and cake on arrival and could help ourselves during our stay. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spotless and cosy with plenty of space. Location is perfect for exploring, we visited Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth. The pub next door serves good food and is also dog friendly in the bar area. We look forward to returning in the future.

Myself and a friend stayed here for 5 days. Our rooms were newly decorated to a very high standard in pleasing neutral shades. The beds are super comfortable and a large new tv was much appreciated. A large variety in breakfasts can be ordered and we enjoyed splendid evening meals. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. I shall most certainly return.
