I stayed here for one night from 25-26JAN2020 and was impressed. The location was very central. The capsule was perfectly clean. They did a good job maintaining cleanliness in the bathrooms and public spaces. The lockers for luggage outside the rooms worked well. I didn't like the upsell for renting a towel, but maybe that's normal in these types of accommodations. The WiFi worked fine. I thought the price somewhat steep, but it was during Chinese New Year. We had a very noisy family in the neighboring room, but they eventually quieted down after a phone call to the front desk. We did have some guy in our room who snored terribly loudly all night, but it is what it is. Decent place to sleep and then continue your journey.

The place is managed by Linda and her mom. Both ladies were very hospitable and accommodating. They made us felt very welcomed throughout our stay. It felt like a stay over at a friend's place. In fact, the hosts' families stay on the 1st and 3rd storey; and the guest rooms are on the 2nd. The room was exactly as per the photos; big, luxurious and comfortable. And there were even Yilan titbits, beside the usual bottled water. We had a great time cycling around the area; shot some fireworks and chit-chatting with the hosts. Linda took some shots of our stay and shared them with us as mementos of our stay. Breakfast was home-cooked Taiwanese porridge. Being close to dumpling festival, we were served some dumplings made by Linda's mom. There dumplings were very yummy. Strongly recommended.

spent three days there back in May. it was raining all the time, we couldn't really go out to explore the surrounding nature spots. met a lot of local backpacking peeps, friendly hosts, easy-going, very relaxed environment. however the room was really dark, the bulbs were way too dim, not good for eyes at all.

Having stayed at many onsen ryokans in Japan throughout the years, I know what a good onsen experience means. So when I found this online, learning that it’s Japanese style and includes 2 meals (dinner and breakfast) like the ones in Japan for only half the price I’d usually pay. I have to admit I was skeptical. The b&b is located in Jiaosi, only 1 hour from Taipei by bus. It’s not my first time to Yilan but it’s my first time taking those kind of coach buses in Taiwan. It’s surprisingly pleasant! There’s not much to explore in Jiaosi though so we stayed in the b&b the whole time. The b&b overlooks a big pool or water (pond?!) with a lot of ducks, and we get a nice view from both floors of our room. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, and they made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the hot spring tub very much, even though it’s inside it’s well ventilated and overlooks a private garden (I usually prefer outdoor). we had 4 rounds in total! One thing to consider is that the bathroom is upstairs, maybe not the most convenient if you have old folks or young kids. But for us it’s not an issue at all and we love the layout. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful and emphasized using a lot of local ingredients and specialties. All the dishes taste and look exquisite. The sashimi was obviously fresh as it came from the harbor on the day - I usually don’t like squid all that much but this one was so sweet! We would love to come back some day.
