We visited this 127-year-old garden on 31 October. We were surprised the roses were still in full bloom in the Rose Garden in front of the Winter Garden. The autumn has been exceptionally warm. The garden is best known for its glass building that has three parts: a palm room, a cactus room, and a west wing. Here you can experience the greenery also during the winter months. The entrance is free.

Rising above Helsinki this park is lovely to wander around. Great for a walk or a picnic, plenty of shady spots in Summer and great views in to surrounding areas.

This was not a high priority as I had passed earlier. With some time to spare I decided to go. It turned out to be an excellent attraction. The gardens are huge, varied and spread out with a very large greenhouse complex. As expected most of the flowers were not in bloom but that was off set by some of the fall foliage. The gardens meander and there are several labyrinths. The greenhouses are divided into multi environments with each room representing a different climate. It is absolutely brilliant! There are in depth descriptions of most exhibits written in several languages making it easy to follow. Seniors receive a discount.
