Manafossen is Rogaland's biggest waterfall and Norway's ninth tallest free fall waterfall. From the parking area you proceed on foot along the southeast bank of the river. The path up to Manafossen is steep and rugged in places. The steepest spots have steps and chains that you can hold on to as you climb. From the path you have a fine view over Manafossen, which has a free fall of 92 metres. The waterfall is protected and is one of Rogaland's biggest tourist attractions. You can continue your trip into Mandal and visit Man farm. This was the first farm that was cleared in Fidjadalen valley - probably already in the early Middle Ages. On the lush grassy slopes around the main building there are numerous remnants of the mountain farm that was in use until 1915. Today the restored farmhouse is the only remaining original building. A new building sleeps 34 persons. In the basement you'll find an exhibition featuring the mountain farm's history, the conservation area Frafjordheiene and the work of the Jaeren Recreational Council. The basement also serves as a heated shelter, where you're welcome to warm up while you eat your lunch when visiting Man farm. Access: Follow the signs from the turnoff at E39 by algard, in the direction of Byrkjedal. Parking fee NOK 20. Season: Apr-oct Duration: 2hrs

The best place to see blooming trees spring time! This place is magic. You can walk it all the way through towards Melshei and get up to 2 hills there. You will pass an old farm ruins from iron age on the way. Walk up the Nonsberget hill there

To Lifjell there is an easy and short way and a longer one. The first one goes by car approx. 20 minutes to the start of the trail at Hommersåk, one of the districts of Sandnes city. The walk up to the previously TV/radio mast takes at least one hour (one way!) and could be done almost all through the year. If you plan to walk the longer trip you start at Dale village by the Gandsfjorden about 10 minutes driving outside Sandnes city. You should expect to use the whole day back and forth. Bring food, extra clothes and good footwear. Season: Whole year, but it is of course more cozy at summer time.

Kvadrat is one of the largest shopping centers in Norway, both in terms and area. There are 170 different stores, where clothes, shoes and fashion is the largest single business, with around 60 stores. The center was opened April 26, 1984, and has been remodeled and modernized a number of times. How to get to Kvadrat? Kvadrat is located just next to E39, 12 minutes from Stavanger and 5 minutes from Sandnes by car. We have over 2000 free parking spaces. We also have several bus departures every day to different locations in the region just outside the center.
Nice shoppingsenter with a good varity of shops. A lot of nice spesialshops with clothes, chocolate, interior and jewellery. And a good selection og different restaurants.
