Glass-blowing studio where you will see glass being heated, shaped and blown to form a range of contemporary jewellery, Scottish souvenirs, whisky pipettes, vases, hanging decorations and, of course, Nessies! Please note, glass-blower not always working on torch. Open daily Summer months, closed Jan-Feb, shut Mondays other times.
Visited in August with our young son, Leo, who was shy at first but wanted help. The lovely Kate was serving and she stopped what she was doing and couldn’t do enough to help my son. Clearly her customer service was a hit as my son bought his “girlfriend” a present as well as two other pieces for himself. He also insisted his mum went into the shop later to spend some money and check to see if Kate remembered him. Great little shop, some lovely and quirky glass items and the warmest welcome you could ask for. Highly recommended.

Lovely scenic drives along this road. Well maintained too. Road was quiet at this time of year , might be trickier driving in summer.

When driving around Loch Ness you will come across this view point. If the weather is good it is amazing. Worth pulling over & going for a walk along the the trail.

Lovely place, delicious coffee and a fantastic Scottish breakfast is served. Very polite and friendly staff, an interesting small exhibition on the history of the Caledonian Canal. The loos are very clean and smart!

We spent five days in Fort Augustus and spent time each day in this historic pocket park. Beautiful roses circle the fountain park, delight the senses. We would go every day and hang out, talk to locals and tourists, just people watch. Take a picture, learn some history, get off our feet and take the time to smell the roses.
