Zhenski Pazar Women's Market

This might well have been a thriving & lively place for parents to 'show' their daughters to potential husbands. At the same time, all kinds of produce were being sold, apparently. I don't know about how it was back in the days, but I found it fun to walk over a market where all kinds of produce was being sold. From clothes (socks, underwear, boots, t-shirts, sweaters, you name it) via pottery to groceries, fruits and meats. Oh, and flowers. Old and young are selling their products, in a small market stall or sitting just on the ground in the street. It is a diverse bunch of people, colors and products. Most of what you can buy is not expensive, especially not for western European standards. I really like the kind of lesser organised, easy going way this is all done. In the west, in my opinion, it's all about how it looks (flashy, shiny) and it's pretty much over-orderly and organised. Here it is more like 'what you see is what you get'. I like that. So yes, I would strongly recommend to take a stroll over this typical market in Sofia.

Yes highly recommend great place to visit and maybe have lunch at a very reasonable price . If you’re keen on doing a bit of shopping I think you could do that as well I was very impressed and had a good time . It’s a little bit of a walk up the main Plaza but you just keep going straight ahead and you can’t miss it because of the building it really stands out so wish you a really good time .

Very large selling everything required. Bottom end of Pavlikeni. Parking not an issue plenty to choose from. Street shut on market days so plenty of area to walk through.
