Popularly referred to as Ooty, this gem among southern hill resorts is covered in eucalyptus and pine trees and coffee and tea plantations. On a clear day, it's possible to see as far as the Mysore plateau from Dodabetta Peak, the district's most prominent viewpoint. The Stone House, a landmark 1822 bungalow, and St. Stephen's Church are remnants of the area's first British settlement. Also noteworthy: formal botanical gardens, a children's mini-garden and a contemporary art collection.

I visited this place with my wife and my two children from December 27-30 2018. The place is centrally located and is close to the Botanical Garden, The rose Garden as well as the Commercial Road. The staff, particularly Karthik is very helpful and accommodating. Parking is also available through some sort of a valet system and it is completely safe. Home cooked food can also arranged on prior noticed which is helpful when you are travelling with children.

We 3 families had a comfortable stay. The cottage was clean, neat and well sanitised. Mr.Dhanabalan sir owner of the property is very down to earth person and he treats us in very good way. Would definitely recommend for family. Also looking forward to stay here for our next visit too.

The property is located just outside Ooty Town and has a good view from the porch. The place is not clean, The cots make creaking noise and are uncomfortable, the pillows are thick and hard. The kitchen is a mess. The caretaker switches off the heater with a secret switch, you need hot water as the weather is very cold in Ooty. The food served is bought from some restaurant which is a waste. They don’t even give you bottled water. The owner/ manager will collect the entire money upfront as soon as you check-in. One of the worst places to stay in Ooty
