Please note: Due to the situation concerning covid-19, we only have our large experiment park and the new, temporary exhibition Dinosauria open at the moment. Our house is temporarily closed. We allow a limited number of visitors per day. Please note that you need to to pre-purchase you tickets before you arrive. Starting 17/8, our opening hours are Friday-Sunday 10:00-17:00. We have four floors and a park (open May-September) with experiments that children, teenagers and adults can enjoy. The experiments tempt us into learning a little bit more about technology, physics, maths, geography, biology, how people work, illusions, and much, much more.

Stockholm Toy Museum, previously known as Bergrummet, is the city's new museum of toys and comics. A 2500m2 meeting ground for all generations, the exciting caverns artistically display northern Europe's biggest privately owned collection of toys and comics, with about 40 000 items. Interactive play areas and unique architecture with plenty of room for joy, nostalgia and curiosity makes this a great destination for kids, grown ups and grandparents alike. We also have a cafe with baked goods and coffee, and of course plenty of cool toys in our museum shop.
very difficult to find but quite rewarding the efforts! incredible large and complete collection of toys and comics, placed in an unexpected cave as building, enjoying nice regular military eventin its front at noon-fire of the cannon! good cafe restaurant inside, nice shop, very nice people!

Nordiska museet tells the story of Nordic lifestyle and traditions from the 16th century onward, through furniture and interiors, fashion and jewellery, glass and porcelain. There is also an exhibition focusing on the only indigenous people in the Nordics, the Sami.
I don't usually enjoy museums - find them quite repetitive and predictable. But what a suprise Nordiska Museet is - the highlight of my trip to Stockholm. Beautiful exhibitions, great audio guide, everything so so interesting, interactive exhibitions, places to relax, areas for kids, helpful staff - wonderful place if you want to learn more about Swedish culture. JUST WOW! Sweden is redefining what a museum should look like.

The Nobel Prize shows that ideas can change the world. The courage, creativity and persistence of the Nobel Laureates inspires us and gives us hope for the future. Based on the Nobel Prize’s unique combination of fields – natural sciences, literature and peace – we would like to invite you to exhibitions, school programmes, lectures and dialogues about the great issues of our time.
This museum is located in the heart of Gamla Stan, on the main square. It is not very big, and it would take just about an hour to quickly see the main exhibits. But, if you have time, it is worth going through the displays slowly, reading about all the winners, their lives, and their work. There is plenty of information about Alfred Nobel, and his life. There are mementos provided by many winners from their lives: articles that they used, in many cases these objects had nothing to do with their work, just "relics" of these famous people's lives. Entry is free with the Stockholm Pass. Look for the chairs with autographs of winners under the seats!

Really well done museum with a great storytelling from the beginning of the gaming era until today: You can learn how it all began with Atari and where we are now with Hideo Kojima telling us phenomenal stories while playing his games. Worth a visit also with your kids, showing them how you used to play Mario, Sonic or Mario Kart 64. Quite some things to play from all generations, but of course due to physical limitations, not everything can be played, even it would be awesome. But I bet if you really want to play one of the games they have on display, you can most likely ask them if they can insert that one instead ;)
