The world's largest coral reef eco-system actually consists of 3,000 separate reefs. The island of Moorea serves as the perfect base camp for snorkelers and scuba divers seeking to come face-to-face with the diversity of life that darts among the coral. Non-swimmers can enjoy the same parade of astounding creatures from the dry perch of a glass-bottomed boat. Formed when half of a monolithic volcano crumbled to the blue-green sea, Moorea is an achingly exquisite heart-shaped island that is simply paradise found.

Step into the slippers of a local as we snack our way around Moorea with your local guide Heimata who was born and raised on Moorea. Tama'a means to eat in Tahitian and we will be doing just that as you and your taste buds discover Moorea. During your food tour you will taste and visit authentic local finds that will offer unique flavors where locals like to eat. The food in Tahiti consists of three cultures, Tahitian, Chinese, and French. On the Tama'a street food tour we will seek out hidden food gems from all three backgrounds. Guest will experience 6-8 tastings, depending on season and availability. The tour will take between 4-5 hours. We will also stop at some breathtaking sites, and get a little cultural history of the island. Come join us for a unique Moorea experience with Moorea Food adventures, and learn about the Moorea culinary scene.

Absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing and we went to places I would have been to intimidated to go to as a tourist and would have no idea what to order. This was so worth it! Heimata was awesome and so knowledgeable! As he said “the tour is more than just the food- its about the stories and we meet as strangers and leave as friends.” As others have said- do this early in your trip so you can go back for more! It was phenomenal!

My friend and I tagged along to a tour our friends had booked. Spirou was kind, amazing, knowledgeable, fluent in French and English, and willing to go out of her way for us. We were a bit late and she wasn't upset, and she made a few extra stops without asking for extra pay. I wanted to stay and hang out with her! Highly recommend.

It was a pleasure meeting the "Lady in Blue" and having her drive us to the ferry landing. On the way, she acted as "tour guide" pointing out various places and points of interest. Next time I am in Moorea, I will book a tour around the island with her. She is a delight! And she kept our luggage secure in her van while we were on a 3-hour ATV tour! So nice of her!

We stayed at the Sofitel & the tour group came & picked us up. Great tour guide, very easy to talk to, very personable. It was our first time on ATVs and they explained everything very well. We got to see all the places we were afraid to drive to on our own: pineapple fields, belvedere lookout, tropical gardens & we saw the vanilla plants too. Got great photos, loved this tour. Thank you very much!!

Very much enjoyed learning about the farms and what people on Moorea do. Good understanding of the island. Likes seeing the eels and the lookouts are beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered every question we had. We were never rushed and enjoyed this tour very much. They even helped us non-french speakers make reservations for places to eat!
