This was the highlight of our trip to the Zanesville area. The sculptures were incredible, but the stories behind them brought them to life. It was an honor to meet Allan and hear about his work/life. And the cat was adorable too!

Quiet riverside taproom and patio located in an old industrial space. Comfy furniture has a cozy living room feel.
Casual environment in a retrofitted old building and some comfy seating make this place a relaxing bar. Great beers and really good pizza along with live music on the weekends make this place worth a visit.

Made the short trip down from Dillon State Park for ice cream since the camp store was closed, and you can’t go camping without ice cream! So glad we came as we’ll now return often. Got burgers in addition to the ice cream, both were excellent. Love the sauce on the burgers. Huge portions of ice cream, two scoops was huge! Enjoyed the COVID friendly outdoor seating, which filled up fast. Great service. We will definitely be back.

I've visited the ZMA many times now over the past 6 years since I discovered it, and it always thrills me to pieces. The Zanesville Museum of art is the quintessential Central Ohio hidden gem. It is a delicious small and very accessible museum, with a folksy red mailbox on a rural street…but it also boasts a William Merritt Chase, an Alice Ruggles Sohier, and multiple prints by Rembrandt, Whistler, Picasso, Matisse…and even a small Rubens in their exquisite Renaissance Room. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit a special one. And, the ZMA is near and dear to my heart because they will be hosting my first ever solo museum show, Chicks with Balls: Judy Takács paints unsung female heroes…opening Thursday night February 13, 2020 from 5 to 7:00. This traveling exhibit of portraits and figurative art is all about recognizing and honoring the special women in our lives…who are posing topless with balls for coverage, to symbolize their strengths and struggles. I have utmost respect for the ZMA and their ballsy choice to host this edgy yet wholesome exhibit, that will surely attract attention and hopefully touch some lives in a very positive way. Maybe you'll want to come for one or more of the associated events: Opening Reception…Thursday February 13, 2020 from 5 to 7:00 Gallery Talk, Chicks with Balls: You, me and every woman we know Saturday, February 15, 2:00-3:00 Artist Lecture, Beyond Chicks with Balls: The Goddess Project Thursday night March 19, 6:00 to 7:00 Chicks with Balls runs through April 4th in the Great Gallery, be sure to leave time to check out the whole museum. Definitely worth the trip!

Wonderful, well kept garden with nice parking area, benches and short trails. Great place to take pictures or a quick sack lunch. Zanesville's best kept secret!!

We drove across it twice and went to the Putnam Park scenic outlook to view it from ahigh. Muskingum road is closed so to access the park you must take Main Street to Pine St. So basically you have to cross the Y Bridge to view it from the park. It was fun and just one of those corny things I like to do when I am in the area.
