Located within Powder Mill Park, the Hatchery offers a wonderful opportunity for kids to see trout fingerlings and good sized trout as they get ready to be moved into area streams and lakes.

This park is wonderful! We have now visited it in all the seasons. We went sledding here this morning and had a blast. We also saw deer and many cross country skiers. Very clean restroom facilities.

I've come here on a regular basis for a few years now. It is my favorite place to stop for a brew. Has a sort of "Cheers" atmosphere where the bartenders are happy to see a regular come in. Beers have always been good but they have improved recently with the switch in contract brewery to Rohrbach's (Casey is owner and Lock 32 and his other place Seven Story have their own brewmaster). Nice to sit and look out over canal (see pic) Often will have live music at busy times with surprisingly good musicians playing.

Powers is a great place to visit anytime of the year but, autumn is the best! They have a "haunted" hay ride (not too scary for little ones during the day), giant teepees containing real carved pumpkins that are lit, and a petting zoo in which you can feed the animals. There are many pumpkins for sale and inside their store are delicious cookies for sale as well as other baked goods and crafts and gifts! My granddaughter's Favorites place to visit every fall!
