History is preserved at Mill Race Historical Village, a gem of the Northville community. Beginning in 1972, the buildings were moved from other locations in Northville, or reconstructed on site, on land donated by the Ford Motor Company. The Village is home to the circa 1831 Cady Inn, the reproduction Hirsch Blacksmith Shop with a working Smithy on open Sundays and at special events, the 1845 New School Church, the 1851 Greek Revival Hunter House, the 1873 Carpenter Gothic Yerkes Home, a Gazebo built in 1979 by high school students, a circa 1889 Victorian Cottage, the JM Mead General Store, circa 1830-1850, an original Interurban Station, built in the 1890's and of course our beloved circa 1873 Wash Oak School. Imagine your wedding on the Charming Grounds or in the Church of a Historic Village of the 1800's. The Cady Inn is available to rent for private events. The one room school house is available to rent for teachers wanting to take schoolchildren back in time for the day!
A beautiful place to go for a short stroll. Consists of 7-8 historic buildimgs moved on site for occasional school day trios, weddings and many parties posing for pictures. Has a gazebo and a number of benches...grab a book and a coil drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Adjacent to Ford Field with access to downtown Northville

Excite, Enlighten & Enrich! Since 2007, Tipping Point Theatre has become a popular destination in Northville for theatre-goers to come out, see a show, enjoy a meal and shop in our beautiful downtown area. We produce classic plays, musicals and bring the best of current off-Broadway productions to our professional little theatre. We pride ourselves on producing high-quality, accessible and affordable theater for the communities of Novi as well as the Metro Detroit area. The theatre itself is small and quaint, seating about 100 patrons and it is very warm and welcoming. Every time you see a play here, you will feel like you're part of the show. If you have never experienced theatre like this, you must come see what you're missing. Tipping Point is a great way to enjoying an evening out with friends and family while supporting the arts right here in Michigan! We hope you will join us for a night of live profession theatre close to home!
Always put on very amazing shows with experienced talented actors. Not a bad seat in the house. Love that they offer classes as well.

Miles of lighted displays and every year they add more. It’s very enjoyable and even prettier if there is a little snow. It’s just five dollars per car and the proceeds go to the park system.

Local State Park. Several walking/hiking trails. Serene! Trails are well maintained, though signage is somewhat confusing. Back to nature without having to travel!
