6 Breweries in Chattanooga That You Shouldn't Miss

July 9, 2021 Diedre Savory

The name "Chattanooga" comes from the Creek Indian word for "rock coming to a point." This refers to Lookout Mountain, one of the city's major attractions. Here visitors can explore extraordinary rock formations, see a roaring enclosed waterfall and travel by train to the top of the mountain for truly awesome vistas. Back down on the ground, don't miss the world's largest freshwater aquarium, the Tennessee Aquarium. History enthusiasts will love the city's museums dedicated to Civil War, Native American and 20th-century history. More than anything, Chattanooga is a scenic city, full of natural wonders waiting to be explored by foot, car, bike or train.

New to the city and exploring the local beer scene. Service was quick and efficient. The place seems cool and has a laid back vibe. Plenty of seating. They also have shuffleboard which was nice. I ordered a flight. My favorites were cruxmas, vadose vanilla stout, and base amp blonde. They seem to release new beer fairly frequently too so this is somewhere I will check out periodically.

This past Saturday my boyfriend, Gino Fanelli was performing and this was our first time there (this was only their second Saturday open). We had a blast. The owner and team were so amazingly nice. The food truck, Dolly's, had awesome bbq. Great beer selection. Fun atmosphere and a place to showcase local artists in a separate space with seating. In fact they had a guy (Rik Herrmann) doing a live painting and I bought it. I will always have this painting to remember that night. Thanks so much for everything. (Mike, Cory, Dustin, SHIGEKAWA, Rik to name a few......), oh, and all our friends that came out in the rain to see Gino play. We all had so much fun, felt like being at someones home.
