Hooked surf school is an established surf school based on the Lisbon coast. We are a team of experienced surf coaches and lifeguards. We provide individual and group lessons for different abilities. During the holidays children can join kids surf club for half or full days.We also provide surf board , body board and wetsuit hire.One lesson and you will be hooked!

Surf Academia Joao Macedo is based in Praia Grande, Sintra, although we also teach in the most beautiful beaches around Lisbon coast, which includes Guincho, Carcavelos, Ericeira and Costa da Caparica. This is the school of Joao Macedo, an international surfer recognized worldwide for his career in the World Surf League and author of Method 7, an unique and recognized methodology of teaching surfing by the International Surfing Association (ISA). This method, published both in Portugal and United States, promotes a fast learning process based on 7 levels of surfing through the knowledge of 7 maneuvers - CurvesS, Bottom-Turn, RoundHouse Cutback, Floater, Snap, Aerial and Tube . More than a high-quality surf school with a certified and specialized team, the Academy promotes a unique learning experience, collaboration and love for the beach, the sea and the preservation of the environment.

The route includes: A tour of the beautiful Sintra mountain range and its emblematic palaces. A walk through the historic center with a visit and tasting at the oldest Sintra bakery. Cabo de roca in the westernmost point of the continent. Boca do inferno. Cascais.

I created MBtours in order to provide our tourists with the best touring experience and to convey my knowledge as a local, showing places that they will not normally have access to on a “conventional” tour.
