Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

What a friendly and warm welcome. The room was so clean and plenty big enough for us for a few days. We were greeted with the keys and the code to the main door and then went exploring Rome. Check out was 10am but was offered longer. Room was cleaned and beds made everyday. Even though we were main road facing the sound proof windows and black out shutters were great! You couldn’t hear a thing. Would highly recommend this place to stay. Breakfast is available and the use of the communal kitchen was a good idea.

Located in an attractive district near the Vatican and the metro station Ottaviano, this is a quiet, well-run apartment. The owner-managers are courteous and welcoming. The rooms, though on the small side, are clean and comfortable. Overall outstanding value.

What a dissapoinent. Booked a nice romantic room, while i was on a plane they tried to charge the card (despite the fact I choosed more expensive option to pay on arrival), when landed they cancelled my booking last minute. Tried to rebook but they just replied info that there is noone at the hotel (even it was over an hour before closing the front desk) All in all left me with no room to stay just before midnight. It was meant to be £149 for 4 night and had to find something last minut that cost me over £360. AVOID THAT PLACE

Booked for 2 adults and 3 kids, 15,10 and 8 years old. Arrived to find room is only 9ft x 15ft and once two single beds were added, one of which was in walkway by front door, there still wasn't enough for 5 of us and there is literally no other room to even walk around. Had to sleep 3 in the double bed. Fan in bathroom didn't work, so room smelt terrible, bathroom door had broken lock, and Aircon unit was a waste of time as didn't cool the room at all. Breakfast was in a cafe, 3 streets away, around a 5 minute walk. Could only have hot drink and croissant, and nothing more. Even though photos showed fresh juices and fresh fruit. Booked through booking.com but property wants CASH on arrival. Now we know why!! Wouldn't give a refund after one night and had little or no help from booking.com as paid cash. Tried to blame us for booking 5, even though it clearly states it was ok on the website. Manager was rude on the phone and denied things were not working, even though onsite cleaner/help was with us and could clearly see issues we had. Have contacted booking.com to start a full complaint and to try and get this property removed form their site. One star is far too high for this property, but no option to leave it zero.

We had a lovely 4 nights stay at Caesar Place. Our host, Florin was very helpful and informative. Breakfast was simple and tasty. We had a quad room which is rare to find and it was lovely with ensuite. Rooms were clean and beds made every day. Location is near the Lepanto metro and walking distance to Vatican city. Lovely cafes downstairs for morning coffee or brunch.

We had booked to stay here for 5 nights. Unfortunately we didn't manage to even stay for one. We were going to be arriving late at night and had emailed and called to let them know. We arrived at midnight and got no answer at the property or when we called lots of times. We tried for about half an hour before giving up and having to book a night elsewhere. We tried to call them again in the morning but again got no answer. We managed to message them online and asked if we could check in but they told us that they had cancelled our entire booking as they had rang us from 1.30-3.00am but we didn't answer. They then blocked our number so we have been unable to contact them since! Really do not reccommend booking here. They are rubbish at contact and communicating and have kept our money after cancelling our booking.
