At the entrance to the fjord, nestled in a bucolic setting, you will find the Artisan Cottage, where mountains, rivers and fields together to create a universe protected. To give a soul to the house, all built of wood, the artisan was able to match the original features of nature and the creations of his imagination, from which emanate strength and sensitivity. A unique character that can not find anywhere else.
Choose this place because it was one of the options from a Prestige Giftbox I got as a present. It was a wise choice, especially in these crazy covid times. The place is totally relaxing and the owner/artist has made it something to feast your eyes on. The view of the fjords is very nice especially at sunset with the light playing off the hills and the water. The distant bleeding of sheep and the call of birds gives a great outdoor experience to the stay. We had the little loft which served us well and have no complaints. The studio was very clean and well appointed. Note the is a fridge but without a freezer compartment.

We stayed here two nights and were so happy to have experienced this beautiful rural setting. The little house we stayed in was very comfortable and having access to an outdoor kitchen was lovely and welcome. Onsite is a trampoline and swing, a friendly dog, and a swimming hole with pedal boat, all of which my daughter loved. Add to this delicious breakfasts, helpful hosts, and great value... we would definitely recommend this place as a nice alternative to Chicoutimi if you want to remain in the area.

Auberge la Tourelle du Fjord welcomes you with breathtaking views of the majestic Saguenay Fjord. Just 15 minutes from downtown Chicoutimi on the Boulevard Tadoussac , in Saint-Fulgence, between Sainte-Rose du Nord and Saguenay, your hosts offer 15 fully renovated rooms in June 2013!
Stayed here to be with our grandson who competed in Les Jeux de Quebec 2017. From its high perch, the hotel overlooks, in a spectacular manner, the Saguenay River. Our room was very basic but comfortable. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the suppers we had in the restaurant. The food is exceptionally good. They offer a tapas menu that we enjoyed on the 2nd evening. I wouldn't order the Calamari (Calmars frits maison) again but the Venison (Pave de cerf aux bleuets sauvages), Shrimps (Gambas grillee "Megas"), and believe it or not, the Poutine (Poutine tout canard, sauce aux poivres verts de Madagascar et foie gras, vieux cheddar et effiloche de canard confit) are a must.If I can locate a golf course nearby, we'll be back in the summer.

I stayed for 3 nights at Gite La Mi Temp and can't describe in words how much I enjoyed my stay. Its a nice cozy cottage with 3 upstairs guest rooms. One can get amazing views from the front of the cottage and the beauty of the place is stunning. There is also a lake behind the house. The B&B is centrally located in the St Fulgence area and within half an hour drive to Mont Valin National Parc, St-Rose du Nord and roughly an hour away from Tadoussace. It is also an ideal place for skiers and people who want to brave the trails during the winter and also enjoy the amazing fjords during any time of the year. Finally, one's stay in a B&B is dependent on the host and Micheline was one of the nicest hosts I have ever met. She prepares sumptuous breakfasts every morning that will keep you full for probably most of the day. She also provided me excellent suggestions on the places to see in the vicinity, especially during the winter time and it was truly a pleasure to have been her guest. I just wish, I had some more time to spend in the amazing area in this Quebec countryside and will heartily recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in St Fulgence or St-Rose du Nord area.

I travelled here with OttawaTraveller2013 in July/August. There was both good and not so good with this rental. First of all, the house is very conveniently located close to Chicoutimi, the Saguenay River, beluga whale watching at Baie-Sainte-Marguerite and nice hiking at Monts-Valin National Park. It is reasonably well equipped, although the kitchen table is dark as the hanging lamp in the photo has been removed. The bedrooms are all nice and the beds are comfortable. Our kids enjoyed the campfire and climbing on the hill behind the house. The issue we had with this rental is the well ran dry of water half way through our visit. Although we were a family of five, we don't feel our water usage was excessive. Yes, we used the washing machine and one of us did use the outdoor shower on one occasion. Apparently, it has been a very dry summer there and this was enough for the well to go dry. The owner responded with lightening speed to the issue of the water pump pumping nothing but air. She knew exactly where to go and what to do leaving the impression this is not the first time this has happened. She turned off the power to the pump for the day and this was Wednesday morning. We were left with 36 liters of water to drink and flush the toilet. To be fair, we were told to come to her house and shower and wash clothes, if necessary. Wednesday evening she came back and turned on the power to the pump again. There was some water at this point and we were told to use it for dishwashing only. We were asked at this point not to use the toilet, shower (indoor or out) or the washing machine and left with the 36 liters of water. We never heard from the owner again. Not wanting all of us to go for showers at the owner's home and someone we did not know, we resorted to public showers at various places we visited. We found this a little disappointing as we had expected running water in the house we rented. We also felt a cautionary note on the dry weather up front and the potential low water level would have lead us to be more diligent on the usage of water and avoided this whole situation in the first place. Our advice is if you are considering renting this house make sure you ask questions about the water situation.
