6 Beaches in St. Kitts That You Shouldn't Miss

October 10, 2021 Kaleigh Reichenbach

Lush and luxuriant, the exotic tropical island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis is a romantic paradise. St. Kitts' wonderful beaches remain relatively crowd-free, and nature lovers delight in seeing lava formations, tropical forest and lagoons and underwater marvels while snorkeling or diving. Among more than 200 historical sites, former plantation homes now offer elegant accommodation. Eco-rambles, bio-tours and climbing are Nevis attractions. Rent cars or mopeds on-island and catch ferries between the two.

We were on a cruise and stopped for the day. We had to take a taxi, but you give them a time and they will come back and pick you up.. The beach was nice and the water very warm. Two chairs and an umbrella costs $20 U.S. There is a restaurant and food nearby. It was also known as the Carambola Beach Club.

Turtle Beach

A pleasant beach where you can swim in sight of Nevis.

This is a natural beach, not a manicured resort beach. There was some seaweed but not a bothersome amount. The waves weren't rough while we were here either - our young kids were fine without life jackets. We packed a cooler and hung out here twice. It was perfect - like being in your own tropical postcard.

Cockleshell Beach

Reviewed By luv2travelmucho - Wallingford, United States

We spent two days at cockleshell beach and enjoyed both very much. The first time we went it was because a snorkeling trip got rescheduled and we needed something to do so we went on an adventure and found this beautiful beach and rented an umbrella and two lounge chairs for $10. The waves are just right and the sand is so clean and there is an abundance of beautiful shells to either look at or collect. The view across to Nevis is stunning! It is also right next-door to reggae beach where you may take a convenient water taxi $40 per person one way to nevus and enjoy that small wonder of an island as well. We were there on a day that was not too busy so I can only speak to the excellent time we had that was very peaceful and enjoyable

Sand Bank Bay

No Amenities. Beach is completely empty. You are likely to have the entire beach to yourself. Solitude. No distractions. Just yourself watching the waves break over the reef. Watching the rip tide and the waves going backwards is i found to be therapeutic. Calming. Being alone in nature in its raw form i found to be good for the soul...........thats all that is here......if you can enjoy being with yourself you are likely to be blessed by this place...........if not.........pass on by
