Phra Nang cave beach, is breathtaking! Depending on your route, you can go to railay beach west and walk through to railay beach east, and on through the caves to Phra Nang, the journey to Phra Nang is absolutely beautiful, you will likely see some wildlife along the way and there is even a slight rock climb (rope assisted) up to a viewpoint, unfortunately I didn't get to the viewpoint, but imagine its unbelievable once you get to the top. There are shops in the little resort style town on the way through where you can grab cold beverages of any sort, and snacks, and enjoy them along your walk. You will suddenly come out of the half caved walkway into pure paradise, several hundred metre tall karst formations with vegetation and birds flying to and from their nests, there is a decent size section if water ropes off for swimmers where there is no boat access for when the 40°C heat becomes too much and your forced to enter the tropical, fish filled waters. This beach I would recommend before all others at least to see once!

With an exotic climate, a fantastic climbing site and a nearby beach, Ao Phra Nang is a magnet for visitors to Thailand.
This is the perfect place for a marriage proposal. I didn't...but you could! We walked over from our hotel at the Avatar at around 8am. The caves on the way are super cool! When we arrived there may have been another 4 or 5 people there spread out on the long, beautiful beach. We had a romantic and amazing time swimming under the cliffs and walking down the nearly deserted beach with its mind-blowing, travel documentary-like rock formations. It was an amazing couple of hours. Then the tour boats showed up disgorging masses of international tourists. The population of the beach went from a handful to hundreds in about 30 minutes. It was borderline infuriating...Selfies everywhere. Then the tide came in...and poof, they were all gone as if they'd never been! Back to relaxation by 12-1pm! A boat with a full kitchen showed up too! There are no permanent vendors allowed here. The boat sold beer, lots of food options and soft drinks and water. It was awesome! They also take back their garbage. Make sure to give it back to them and keep this paradise clean. Bring water, waterproof footwear, sun safety stuff and a blanket to lounge on. Be prepared to get wet on the walk back if you leave during high-tide. We were soaked to the waist. We were both stung a bit by what I presume were very small jellyfish or organisms while swimming. The stings faded quickly and most of my time in the water, (Which was a couple of times an hour) I wasn't affected. Despite the tour boats, mild stings and soaking, this beautiful beach was a highlight from our trip and I will always remember it.

Hidden Beautiful beach cove, not to crowded, pure white sand and surrounded by stunning limestone cliff. Part of a national park and the Centara Beach Resort, absolutely picturesque. You can rent a kayak for 200 Baht/hour,or just swim or lay on the white sand. Amazing. The Centara Resort coast club serves up delicious food and drinks.

What a great beach- perfect views, lots of shops, easy to get massages and easy access to all the other beaches. Very simple to hop on a longtail boat. Must try this! We spent most of our time in this area— dinners, beach time and lots of good bars!
