Our third visit to this beautiful hotel, excellent staff, spotlessly clean, food was sometimes repetitive but you would never go hungry, plenty of choices. The rooms are very spacious and are very well kept. The grounds are beautiful the swimming was freezing always has been but since it’s been enlarged makes it difficult to swim in as not very deep.Glad I’m not very tall ?? Very disappointed in the evening entertainment we used to have different acts, dancing etc and at the end of the night there was always music to dance to but none of this now.there was such a noticeable amount of French customers and these were obviously looked after very well entertainment wise, nothing was spoken in English which was very disappointing and I think should be looked into, I certainly hope that all Barceló group hotels are not going to be going down this road or I’m sure they will certainly, lose a lot of custom from us English.

We are in the hotel now from 48 hours. The overall expirience of the hotel is very nice. This is quiet place with beautiful surranding. But the customer service experience is not nice. We have holidays booked with TUI (as any airline is flying there normally) and I think for guests who are directly booked with the hotel it can be different expiriecne.. but when we was booking the room was only one option. Economy… I know this is my contract I signed but the standard rooms are quiet better in this hotel.. room is really small and old. Bathroom has dirty celling.. when you are looking up you can imaging that it is broken and can fall down.. another thing is only one energy outlet in whole room !! We have 6 devices with us and can’t work normally due to no power ! We have requested cord and there is still only one outlet.. I am travelling all the time and it is first situation like this. We can charge phones during the nite or Laptops due to one outlet ! Second one is In bathroom but will not put laptop there. Another thing is curtains. Horrible. There is light during the night due to not full darkness of the room. And also window in the bathroom so it is even lighter in room…. Beds are ok, actually we have only one small bed but requested the change to 2 single beds and received but the room is more old and smaller than previous one. We even do not have a desk so we need to work in bed :/… You have electric kettle but you need to use it in bathroom…. The room we have before was 3060 and now 2050, do not recommend at all…. We took it only because of 2 beds… this 3060 was also not melia standard. Another thing we had a problem w cable to MacBook as it was broken. We wanted some advise where to buy it as this city is really small. And what we heard on the reception - don’t know… we could loose our work due to no work and the help from the hotel is no idea. Zero empathy…. Food - breakfast ok. Dinner - buffer is small and not a big choice but seems fresh. Another thing is quality. I took chicken breast yesterday from live station and was raw inside… the waitress when was taking the plate was unhappy that I don’t finish but it was raw ! You can die from raw chicken… Later on took lamb bat it was only piece of fat. Apple pie - frozen ! Apples was wet from water and ice inside .. So … it is not nice holiday for now.

Great holiday had here

We've just got back from our 2 week stay, the hotel is lovely and the staff are great too. Marta on reception in particular was extremely helpful, informative and friendly and is genuinely a lovely lady. We was self catering and was struggling where to eat that wasn't all fish (being a fishing town, its mainly what all local restaurants do) but Marta advised us on where to go and was spot on. Hotel is really clean and tidy and is in a great location. Only 30mins away on a bus to Ayamonte which only cost 1.40€ pp each way.

We unfortunately lost our holiday going to Turkey but Hayes travel found one to this hotel in Spain. We were not disappointed. We were delayed due to our flight bringing back Thomas Cook customers and the restaurant was closed but after booking in we were told there was food waiting for us in the restaurant with a large bottle of water. Perfect. Just what we needed. The rooms are lovely, very clean with plenty of room. Large bed, lots of wardrobe space, large bathroom with separate dressing area. Lounge area with fridge, microwave, kettle even though we were all inclusive. Big pool area with plenty of sunbeds, 2 jacuzzis, two slides, outdoor covered seating area and bar, indoor bar seating, entertainment room and bar. Indoor pool and showers. Spotlessly clean. Staff so friendly and helpful. Great choice of food with two chefs cooking fresh food, fish and meat as well as buffet choices. Wide range of named spirits at no extra charge. If we were ever unable to go on our normal holiday to Turkey we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for helping us to have a fabulous time after lots of disappointment ?
