We took the funivia up to see family I hadn't seen in over 40 years in the rain. My cousin worked it for that many years and at one time it was the only way to get up and down. On the way down it stopped. Up high in the fog was scary but they used the intercom to advise us they knew we were in the gondola. A power failure shut it down and after some time we came down very slowly using a back up system. It's quite high but offers an incredible view and once up too there is short walks to hotels and polenta and strudel

Take the cable car up for a designated walk in the mountains. Stunning! The walk took us about an hour and there were wonderful sculptures for children along the way. From the view point cafe/bar, look down on Molveno below with its turquoise waters and sandy looking beach.
