This hotel has all the features you could dream of for a perfect getaway : comfort, good and friendly service, very good food, and beautiful nature around. It is located in the center of the island, so easy to travel around.

Stayed 3 nights (was meant to be 4). We got offside with our hostess Rachelle early on by failing to find her sitting in her vehicle in the airport car park. No question of her having a sign or trying to find us.She pretty much refused to communicate with us after that until our last day when she informed us via an interpreter that we had to find somewhere else that night since she needed the hut for wedding guests! Apparently this is normal. To be fair she did find us somewhere else which was actually rather better. The place itself is well located close to the nice beach and supermarket, behind which is a car hire. That is handy though expensive (over 7000 francs per day) because you need some kind of transport. Ouvea is long and skinny with the main attractions at either end. The camp/hut ground had a friendly informal atmosphere with basic but acceptable cooking/washing facilities and functioning WiFi and friendly (mainly french) guests. Quiet apart from the dog which went on a nightly round of uncontrolled barking ci and the obligatory 3 a.m.rooster wake up call from just along the road.So industrial earplugs essential if you are a light sleeper. Overall I would recommend staying elsewhere, particularly if you have transport. If not, bring a tent. If you can get on with Rachelle (in french) it might be better.

The Host was friendly. The breakfast was okay. Well equipped kitchen to use incl. gas stove. But the 'traditional hut' is not worth to visit. Maybe there are other and better opportunities at this place. It crawls and flies and there are a lots of spiders and it seems not to be very clean. In the garden there are dog piles around. Not a place I would recommend to someone else.

L'endroit parfait pour séjourner chez l'habitant et surtout dans une case. Proche de Mouli. Pas loin de la plage on avait juste la rue à traverser. Hôte et sa famille très accueillant. Repas parfaits.
