Malee's Nature Lovers Bungalows are located 1 km north of the Chiang Dao Caves towards Wat Thum Pha Plong. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere of this small paradise in the midst of untouched nature at the foot of the third highest mountain of Thailand Doi Luang Chiang Dao. The cool, refreshing Dhala Pool is located in a cozy garden where our guests can enjoy the magnificent nature. Families with children feel comfortable in our quiet place. Rare birds are often seen in close proximity, making this place a birdwatcher mecca. Other activities at this location include trekking, cave exploration and mountain biking.
We stayed in Malee's 3 nights in family with 2 kids 5 and 8 years old. We were welcomed as family, Malee and her husband and brother were so nice! The place is beautiful with all kind of flowers and a big collection of orchids in the garden. The bungalow was very spacious for the 4 of us. And a lot to do around with good advices (chiang dao caves 2 minutes away, walking in the mountain, birding, hot springs and beautiful waterfall in the national park 30 minutes away by car) The kids loved to play with the dogs. We recommend!!

We booked the Deluxe room and it was very spacious with all amenities you could ever desire! The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was very good with a glass enclosed walk in shower. Outside, there was a balcony area with a fantastic view of Mount Chiang Dao and the scenery was fantastic! The restaurant was only a few steps away from our room and had a good selection of foods at reasonable prices. The resort also had 2 swimming pools and ours was just outside of the restaurant. Definitely a First Class resort and we will be sure to return!

I read all the reviews before booking this stay and was a little dubious that there were so many high ratings.... however, having just stayed there for two nights I can fully support why people were so charmed by it. The hosts, a mother and son team were just wonderful.... they could not do enough to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. It all started with a free shuttle pick up from the bus station. On arrival there is a free selection coffee / tea and bottled water, also fresh fruit which is available throughout your stay..... and free freshwater refills. The accommodation lodges are well appointed for the price. There was a huge fridge in our room with "four" free bottles of water in it. TV, aircon that worked very well and a fan. Plenty of hot water in the shower and good wifi. There are numerous sitting areas around the property including hammocks that we made good use of.... a viewing platform with new outdoor beanbags to watch the sun going down over the Chiang Dao mountain. Bliss. They have a huge pond full of fish which you can feed. The setting is wonderful looking out to the mountain and hills. They can arrange any trips you require including guided trekking etc and transport at reasonable charges. We arranged to be taken to the nearby cave and the "500" steps temple then collected when we finished. We stayed two nights and both nights the family cooked a lovely dinner for us, as was breakfast with cooked eggs in the morning. In summary, a very kind, welcoming family that could not do enough for us.(Only regret is that we should have planned to stay longer). Bear in mind that the accommodation is rustic and laid back. Great value for money.

I was travelling alone from Chiang Mai and in the bus I met the only other person who was travelling that wasn't Thai, we didnt have any place booked so we saw in internet very fast about this place, and once we arrived to Chiang Dao city we took a taxi and went to Baan Suan Boon, and just entering to the resort we loved it. A super cute lady with his husband came to welcome us and we asked if they had avalaible bungallows, so we decided to share a bungallow and the people there were so kind to put as another bed without any extra cost. I stayed 3 nights and my friend stayed 5. The place is beautiful, beautiful gardens, beautiful mountain surrounding the resort, the bungallows are beautiful also, ours had a big big table outside with chairs and benches to enjoy, a big area to relax, and inside bathroom and everything very clean and beautiful. We got breakfast included and was really nice becacuse we didn't expect it. The views from the breakfast terrace are beautiful, and this resort even if it is not close to the other hotels and resorts it is also very close to the main tourist things, like Chiang Dao Cave temple, and other temples and things to do, also close to little restaurants and some kiosk. Also wifi that works excelent! and the lady cleans the room every every day! she is so nice! The people working there i think is all the same family, are amazing, they treated us like their family, and the day I was leaving all of them came outisde the resort to wait the taxi with me and say goodbye. Beautiful place that needs more publicity!
