Beware the 3% Credit Card surcharge
Reviewed By MilsteadUmpireExcellent B&B accommodation in a lovely setting. Good breakfasts. Our room was spacious with a very good en-suite shower room, but it was up a steep staircase which might deter the elderly or infirm. The staff were outstanding, and the whole property had a very homely feel. Our stay coincided with an event in the grounds which meant it was quite noisy until around midnight on each night of our stay. The only major downside was that at checkout we were advised that there was a 3% surcharge for credit card payments. This practice has been illegal in the EU since January 2018! We had no choice other than to pay the surcharge as we had not been advised in advance.

Reviewed By JoanneandGordonBeautiful place, super surroundings, would highly recommend. Breakfast is so good using local produce and home produce. The owners are very welcoming and watching the two week old foal with its mother added to the magic. Would definitely return and recommend to others.Thank you.

Set in Terwolde, 4 km from Deventer, 10 km from Apeldoorn and Zutphen and Amsterdam is 1 hour distance by train, Bakhuys "De Koeweide" Terwolde features a quiet, save, private and protected area surrounded by a horse farm. Beautiful house views of the garden, meadows and the horses. The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Spa Thermen Bussloo and Spa De Veluwse Bron 10 minutes distance from this location. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Some units feature a seating area for your convenience. You will find a coffee machine in the room. Extras include free toiletries and a hairdryer. Bike hire is available at this farm stay and the area is popular for horse riding. Nijmegen is 50 km. Breakfast is included.
Heerlijk verwend & mooi plekkie
Reviewed By reinier98We waren in het Bakhuys om een lang weekend te relaxen. En my oh my wat is dat goed gelukt! De ontvangst was heel hartelijk, het huisje van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon en gezellig en het ontbijt...fantastisch en met veel zorg klaar gemaakt! Prettig bed, ruime (regen) douche in een mooie omgeving, vlakbij Deventer. Dank je wel Margriet & Klaas!

Heerlijke plek om tot rust te komen
Reviewed By Mathilde DMooie omgeving en natuur. We hebben lekker gewandeld. De huisjes zijn voorzien van alle gemakken, goede bedden. Aardige eigenaren. Er zit ook een winkeltje met streekproducten op het terrein. Heerlijke kaas en wijn.
