I only stayed the one night but Alison was Brilliant and couldn’t do enough for me. The room was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. The effort Alison went to in order to prepare breakfast for me at the time I wanted was amazing. A great stay!

Adamton House has two distinctive and different properties within its 19.5 acres of grounds. The express wing offers perfect accommodation for those on a budget or traveling to or from Prestwick Airport. This lodge style accommodation offers doubles, twins, singles and budget bunk rooms. All rooms are en-suite and only a few steps from the main house. The main house has a more traditional feel, and offers an executive style accommodation. It has a history dating back to the 11th century and has supposedly accommodated some interesting residents from Elvis Presley to Bonnie Prince Charlie's children and Clark Gable.

This familly run hotel is the ideal base to explore the first class Ayrshire Links Golf Courses including Turnberry, Royal Troon & Old Prestwick. Set overlooking the 18th Green of Old Prestwick.
Let's get the postives first: the breakfast was just fine and the member of staff who was on duty was pleasant. The view from the bedroom was superb. However... It took me twenty minutes and a phone call to get checked in - all doors in the reception area were locked and the first number I tried to call was unobtainable. The hotel appeared to be very tired and worn and could do with a facelift. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The lghting was almost non-existent and there was no bedside light. The window blind was torn - again the place could have done with some TLC -like replacing the wron part of the carpet. Decent enough shower - but very quickly the shower flooded and the bathroom floor was under water. It transpired that the owners of this hotel also own the one a couple of doors down. be warned!
