My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. A beautiful quiet cottage, the view overlook the valley is truly amazing. We saw some deer in the morning and kangaroo in the afternoon. Great place to stay over the weekend and recharge yourself. The location of this retreat is pretty amazing too, only short drive to town and about an hour drive to Mt Baw Baw.

We had an excellent weekend at these cottages. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful views and remarkable highland cattle. Lots of good day trips nearby. Definitely worth a weekend visit.

Neerim South Hotel, under new ownership provides accommodation, meals (lunch and dinner) in the newly renovated bistro, public bar and a bottle shop. The perfect spot in the heart of the country to catch up with friends and relax. With quality food and excellent service, we aim to please all of our patrons.
Can’t fault it as a local pub experience. It’s a nice warm spacious bistro they have here. The meals were all great and very reasonably priced. They sell plenty of good local wines with minimal mark up too. The staff were all lovely people and very good at their jobs, especially Chloe who deserves a pay rise. The courtesy bus is a cracker too. We loved it. Highly recommended.

Gracefield Cottage is a fully self contained country getaway, nestled on a 100 acre deer farm 5 minutes from Neerim South. The views are delightful, looking out over rolling green pastures and natural bushland. Soak up the peaceful surroundings while sipping a coffee on the veranda and watching the native birdlife and the animals grazing in the paddocks, or visit many interesting galleries, wineries and restaurants that are plentiful nearby.
Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Cute as a bug fit out of this 2 storey accommodation. Whilst billed as a working deer farm, we noticed a distinct lack of said critters around the cottage. In fairness, I think that the main paddock adjacent was not being utilized the weekend of our stay - still the kids were looking forward to meeting some 4 legged locals. One thing to point out however, is that whilst both bedrooms are located upstairs, there is no toilet or bathroom facilities on that floor. Therefore, if you need to answer a call of nature thru the night, you have to negotiate the quite steep stairs. This may prove a problem for people with mobility issues. Overall though, a really lovely place to stay and we wished that we had more than the one night there. Very charming country retreat. It is a quality destination and we will be back when we can. The bacon and egg packs provided for breakfast are delicious - possibly the BEST bacon I have ever tasted, which I believe comes from a local butcher. Cereals, milk and tea/coffee also supplied. Would have rated 5 stars if not for the minor points mentioned.

Cosy wood fire warmth after rainy cold spring day's travel. Upstairs bedroom with gorgeous view. All facilities for cooking in good order. Fantastic area with insanely lush surroundings and great views.
