Water & Fire,Healing & Food AQUA * IGNIS meaning Water and Fire is the place where you come in touch with Nature and Individuality and meet power to make tomorrow. Why don't you feel that your idea is spreading and the power to create is arising?
This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in Japan. I didn’t mention whether I understand Japanese, but I heard the staff at the front desk talking bad about me and my family in whisper, which was extremely disappointed. A female staff helped us to bring one suitcase to the room, but her face tells us that she’s annoyed (I think it is normal to bring suitcases when travelling to other countries). We have stayed in many hotels in Japan where the staffs cannot speak English, but communication is not only about speaking. If the hotel is not going to welcome non-Japanese speaking guests, please state it clearly and don’t even make an English homepage. We would never stay at this hotel again, but the food at the bakery and the Japanese restaurant “Kasaan” were amazing. The staff were also friendly and polite.

An inn embraced by the colors of Yunoyama's four seasons Irodori Koyo 【The anniversary inn SPA&RESORT Kaiei RYOKANS】 Opened in 2006, "Irodori Koyo", sits in Yunoyama, Mie Prefecture, cradled by both Ise Bay and the Suzuka Mountains. At this ryokan you can enjoy the four seasons — the fresh spring green, cool summer breezes, fall colors, and winter snow — that are ever changing the appearance of Yunoyama, as well as enjoy abundant seasonal dishes We provide you with a space where you can entrust both body and soul to a luxurious time with the inter-weaved colors of nature
We reserved a room for 4 nights and had to prepay. We then wanted to add a night at the end of our stay and remove the night at the beginning. Still wanted to stay their four nights, just wanted to switch one night and keep the other three nights exactly the same. Hotel said the only way we would be allowed to make a change was to cancel our entire reservation and rebook a new reservation. But when we asked if there would be availability, they said there would not be. So, they wouldn't make any changes to the reservation (wouldn't even let us cancel the first night and keep the other three). Their "solution" and "customer service" was to tell us to cancel our entire reservation and then not have any availability for us to make a new reservation. Apparently they just don't want our business. We're guessing they were overbooked and hoping to get rid of a booking, even though we had already paid for our booking. In any case, they were incredibly stubborn and unhelpful. We have been to Japan 17 times and have never experienced such horrible customer service with regard to reservations. On the contrary, other hotels have been incredibly helpful. We strongly encourage you to use other hotels in this part of Japan.

Finding an ideal onsen ryokan in Komono-cho does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Kotobukitei, a nice option for travelers like you. As your “home away from home,” the onsen ryokan rooms offer air conditioning, and getting online is easy, with free wifi available. Guests have access to baggage storage while staying at Kotobukitei. And, as an added convenience, there is free parking available to guests. If you are interested in exploring Komono-cho, check out one of the historic sites, such as Chifuku-ji Temple, Remains of Chikusa Castle, and Komono Jinya. Kotobukitei puts the best of Komono-cho at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
Recommend this place. Despite the signs around town (and ryokan) that Yunoyama is not the tourist drawcard it used to be, the facilities, food and location of this ryokan were extremely enjoyable. The welcome and staff were great. The room was spacious and had a balcony. Dinner in our room and breakfast downstairs were perhaps better than the more expensive ryokan we stayed in the following night (another city). I only used the general bath (I think there's a facility you can book and pay extra for) and it was very nice with an indoor and outdoor pool with a mountain view. Great location for walkers/climbers or ropeway with access to tracks/ropeway just a few mins walk from memory. While overnight is enough time for a visit, I fail to see why this is not a more popular place for overnighters from Yokkaichi or Nagoya. A walk up the river in the afternoon, an overnight stay at Kotobukitei, and a gondola up the mountain with a walk around the top made for a fantastic trip.
