Recently stayed here for 3 Nights to attend Andre Reiu Concert in Maastricht. Small Family run Hotel in Meerson which is about 10-15 mins from Maastricht and served by regular frequent train service. If you want a Modern Flash Hotel with all the Tech Gadgets on Tap then this is not for you. However if you want Hotel that is run by a pleasant and attentive family who are willing to help guests then this is the place , nothing is too much trouble . We had a room on the first floor which overlooked the back garden and outdoor seating area, The room was of average size with an exceptionally comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom and no Television (What a change). To make it feel older the Floor was not carpeted but was just the floor boards. No problems with splinters . The Breakfast we initially thought was a little overpriced at 11 Euro's , but when you saw what you got, it was a full continental with Meat, Cheese Eggs, Yoghurt, Fruit Juice and plenty different varieties of Bread. We did not have evening Meals here but from people staying at the hotel with whom we spoke who had eaten here it seemed that the meals were exceptional and all made from local produce and cooked by the owner. This Hotel does not have a lift and the staircase is a little on the steep side for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs Overall a pleasant stay in very good surroundings, good value for money and welll looked after by an attentive family. Would come again.

We arrived on a sunny afternoon and was welcomed quite pleasantly. Only to be told we wouldn’t be staying on the riverside we had booked. Okay mistakes are made, we accepted this. We then arrived to our very wet and soggy campsite placement. Again we can be reasonable… We then used the neighbouring electrical socket as we had wanted to have electricity but was told there were no more. This was lies as there was no neighbours to come for the whole trip, so we used it instead. My guess is that they wanted a big caravan with a higher head count to charge more and make more money, instead of accommodating for the paying campers they already had. We were then out at Beautiful Maastricht, enjoying the stunning city, when we received a not-so-pleasant phone call from the camp site. Harshly disapproving and board-line rude they stated to us that they would charge us for the electrics and we shouldn’t have done so as new neighbours could have shown up. ( stated again no neighbours showed up) Again, we would have paid in the first paid, if they had given us the electrics. So if you want muddy fields, timed 5 minute luke warm showers, facilities that are in much need for an upgrade and a camp site that’s clearly over priced and care more about money grabbing than customer satisfaction, then stay here. Thank goodness for the company I was with and the farm was the only redeemable feature. And we understand that the weather is out of their hands but better draining system, more electricity sockets and care about they’re camper is desirable Eleanor and Sjoerd

Ontzettend vriendelijke gastheer.

THe "Verdrag van Meerssen" is a property located on the Market in Meerssen. In this building there is a big Italian restaurant and two Hotelrooms whose entrance is in the Hof van Oranje 34 The property is named after the historical event of 870 AD. In this Convention, the empire of Charlemagne was redistributed between two descendants of Charlemagne.
Nice room but heating works poorly. A not big enough coverage for two. The room was clean but average bathroom. We found hairs in the toilets. We moved away from Maastricht to find a better value and we are disappointed. It's a shame because meerssen is à very charming city.
