Spread along the quiet banks of the Narayani river from across the Chitwan National Park, Nana Jungle Resort opens up a serene wilderness experience with all the comforts of a modern resort. Here you can explore the National Park with our wildlife team, experience authentic Tharu culture and cuisine at the local villages or simply relax and with family and friends in your private chalets.
After a really hectic few days of travel, I found the right place to relax and recuperate at Nana Jungle Resort in Amaltari. Right away, it felt like home. On arrival, I was greeted by the Director/Manager- Vivek and his excellent team- Jhul, Som and Jit, with friendly smiles and their warm hospitality. I loved the view tower overlooking the grasslands and the Narayani river. Although Safaris into the National Park were not possible then, due to the rising water levels of the Narayani, the beautiful birds in the garden and the captivating sunsets on the horizon, were mesmerising ! I would not really recommend the jeep drives into the Community forest as there are droves of vehicles with noisy guests who are complete litterbugs! The drive into the Buffer zone itself is way too distant ! I would recommend visiting Nana to anyone who is looking for a break and a home, close to the jungle, with the brightest & warmest of smiles. Thank you, Nana Team !

The aspiration of Barauli Community Homestay is to empower and provide a platform to locals (Tharu), one of the indigenous and shy, but culturally rich tribes of Nepal, to generate extra income from their very own houses. Most of the Tharus are farmers from generations to generations; some even say from medieval periods, which make agriculture as their major occupation.
Chitwan is a must of every trip to Nepal, but instead of going where everyone else does, the Barauli Homestay gave us the chance to meet the real nepalese and tharu cultures and the rural way of life. The huts are charming, really clean and with everything you might need for a good night sleep and a hot shower. The meals at the comunal restaurant were also really tasty and the activities such as the safaris and the bike tour are very well organized by the locals. It is really inspiring to see how they organized themselves and provide such a great experience to travellers. Totally recommended!!

Hidden Gem in Chitwan. Comfortable bungalows with all amenities and great service. We were surprised by the standard of rooms, cool local design and good food. Great bang for the buck. Arranged safari, got plenty of info and enjoyed life in community just steps away from national park.
