Reviewed By ShelleyAZ1My husband and I were lucky enough to spend our first night in Germany at Kloster Hornbach. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was at this lovely hotel. Hornbach is a cute little village and this hotel seems to be the “heart” of the village. We were immediately impressed with the hotel - a mix of modern and traditional in perfect harmony. We arrived the day after a wedding - earlier than standard check in - exhausted from a long flight from the west coast of the US followed by 4 hours of getting baggage/rental car mix up and drive from Frankfurt to Hornbach. In spite of the fact that we were early, and arriving the day after a wedding that had the small hotel completely full, the hotel staff offered to clean a room quickly so that we could check in early to get some sleep and shower. Our room was a standard double room and just perfect. Lots of room and nicely outfitted with all the amenities needed such as robes, blow dryer etc...they even provided homemade cakes and water and fruit, in our room, for a snack. The service was exceptional and in particular, Edelbert (owner) went out of his way to visit with us AND arranged our next night’s lodging in Traben-Trarbach by personally calling the owner of Hotel BELLEVUE. He even coordinated a wonderful boat ride which included snacks and champagne. Edelbert went above and beyond for us, without us even asking for his help. While all of the staff was amazing, Anna is another staffer I’d like to call out. She was incredibly helpful and always pleasant. The hotel breakfast was very nice - we were able to dine outside and it was delightful. The atmosphere of the casual restaurant was warm and welcoming. The waiters were efficient and very friendly. We very much enjoyed our short stay at Kloster Hornbach and would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you for making our initial impression of Germany such an incredibly positive experience.

A Hidden Gem
Reviewed By Ironman713We were guests of a German business partner of ours for one night. The Loesch is set hillside in a small village. We had no idea where we were staying and we were more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived. This terrific BnB/ hotel is several yards from its affiliate property Hornbach Kloster, which is a fine boutique hotel in a former monastery. Our rooms were spacious, quiet, clean, comfortable and are each tastefully decorated (as are the common areas) with a unique theme. The weather was perfect and our evening began with beverages and hors d'oeuvres served on a deck outside the dining area. Our party of eight were then seated in a private dining room which is immediately adjacent and open to the kitchen, from which we were able to watch the chef prepare our multi course meal, on the spot. The meal began with a variety of salads, which were served family style and all delicious. Next we were served a nice potato leek soup. And on to a delicious pork tenderloin for the main course. For dessert we were served a variety of tasty petit fours and a nice panna cotta. The food was outstanding and service was great. Which made for a wonderful evening. A special shout-out to the chef, bravo! Please forgive me if I left out any details... A nice German breakfast buffet was set-up the following morning next store at Hornbach Kloster. I highly recommend this and Hornbach Kloster...

Reviewed By Marc Vvery nice Bed & Breakfast| , big room which was nice decorated. Coffee-machine was available ( with sweets ). Due to Covid, no breakfast was served. Verye friendly and helpfull people. They even collected a take away meal for me ( I was with the bike and it was raining very hard )

Reviewed By Anwaar75We booked the apartment with kitchen for 14 nights for a very reasonable price & they even allowed us an early check-in. It was not spacious as it shows in the pictures but it doesn't matter because it has everything you need when you are away from home! The owner & her husband are amazing, friendly & helpful.. They just keep asking everyday if we need anything & if everything is ok, you really feel that you're welcomed.. Every morning we had a full continental breakfast served in our room.. The housekeeping was every 3 days not as it's mentioned daily! The town is so quite & safe, nothing much to see or do unfortunately, but it is so close to other cities and to France!
