Fugl Fonix Hotel is a cultural haven for art, music and food lovers. Visitors can experience a superb a-la-carte menu, exibits from local artists, a fantastic selection of international beers and weekend entertainment from up and coming Norwegian bands. We are situated right in the heart of the mountainous Hordaland county wedged between the famous fjords and only a scenic drive away from the bustling cities of Bergen and Stavanger. Welcome!
An enjoyable experience, the renovation and decoration is awesome, the rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. I have been to many small hotels in Norwegian villages, that could learn a thing or two from Fugl Fønix, when it comes to both renovation and friendliness. The one meal I had at the restaurant, was tasty and good value, and the craft beer was very good (but quite expensive, as craft beer is in Norway). Small, but high quality breakfast, with locally produced cheese. The only problem I had, was that I could not keep my balcony door open, because people were smoking at the balcony next door, and the smoke got into my room.

10 modern holiday homes (45m² and 60m²) as well as several camping cabins. Situated 80 km east of Haugesund on the E-134 highway at akrafjorden. Good fishing possibilities. Boat rental available.
When I and my friends from travelling group had trip to Norway, we had stopped at the Kyrping Kamping. It was very nice place with comfortable houses on the bank of Norway Sea. We had a good time in this camping. The weather was very warm and we had swimming at the sea and fishing. From our house’s terrace had opened beautiful view on the mountains and sea, and each morning we can see dolphins and swans. I recommend this camping all of my friends which will visit this magical country.

We had a fantastic trip up the via ferrata. It was a real challenge both physically and mentally. But so worth the effort. The via ferrata is really well made and the view along the way is stunning. From the top there is a beautiful hike back down to the village. We would absoultely recommend this experience to anyone who is ready for a real challenge and adventure in the most perfect fjord scenery.

This is the only hotel in Skanevik. Very well located near the fjord and ferry terminal. The hotel is quite worn down. Rooms are ok, beds are good. But the place needs an update. The owner, a lady, makes up for all. She is the most hospitable person we met in Norway. She tries her best and works hard. Dinner was good, and not expensive. No menu, just a few choices, but that works. Simple breakfast. All in all a pleasant experience. She even allowed us to charge our car from a wallplug.....
