The island crowned of Tapes where our hotel of charm is established is located off Guinea Bissau, in the Archipelago of Bijagos made up of 88 islands and small islands. High place of the biodiversity for its marine animal-life (Dolphins, Tortoises, Marine mammals…)This richness was worth with the site to be classified by UNESCO, in 1996, Réserve of Biosphere. Here all is exceptional! Stays Fishes, Balneal stays, Stays with the chart…
Very nice hotel on the beach. Beautiful to spend holiday with the family. The owner Ms. Solange organize everything starting from the breakfast including lunch and dinner in a perfect way. She also give you opportunities to visit other isle or other type of sports like fishing or walking around the isle and visiting local market.

This island will be too popular down the road. It has a glorious beach and its own airstrip. It was a real pleasure to go here on a Dragoman trip passing through west Africa. The hotel is on the beach, owned by Spaniards. The rooms were rather modestly appointed with two single beds and a lounge chair [no tables]. There are hammocks and other beds to lie on if not enticed into the cool water. The food was very good, lunch and dinner both consisting of three course meals. There are some options off the hotel. Did the trip to the other side of the island [10 euros], stopping in Bruce to see the king. The hotel beach is actually also named Bruce Beach. It is a spot to chill. I just hope the area does not get too over developed.

Rooms, kitchen, bar, conditions everything is more than super. One of the best places in whole Guinea Bissau. Very friendly staff and owners. Many possibilities for different activities: fishing, excursions, folklor concerts. Highly recommended!

We stayed here one night at a discounted rate. However when we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist did not want to accept the discount. We showed him the confirmation and finally after many discussions he accepted it. We were the only tourists and the hotel seemed to be under construction. Our toilet did not flush and had to change to another room. The new room had also problems with the shower. Breakfast was included, but the receptionist charged us part of the breakfast, claiming that the juice was not included. A total rip off and undecent receptionist. When we asked for the bill, the receptionist charged us 15.000 CFA ( 23EUR, each) for the dinner. I told the receptionist that any dinner in Guinea Bissau costs that money, especially that terrible dinner at Dakosta Eco Retreat. Please, do not stay at Dakosta Eco Retreat. There is another hotel near by and the people and the rooms are much nicer. Stay out of Dakosta Eco Retreat. It is not worth it.
