We stopped by after a trip on the Dead Lakes with Off the Map Expeditions at Capt Matt’s recommendation. The owner was swamped filling Christmas orders for shipping out, but she still made time to let us taste the varieties available (including Tupelo, of course) and tell us a little about the business of collecting and selling honey. We bought several kinds of honey and HONEYCOMB, which is a must-get if you do charcuterie. Everything we bought has been delicious. We appreciate her hospitality.

"Dead Lakes County Park" in Wewawitchka is a great place to tent or camp with a trailer. We stayed there 4 days. It has full electrical/water hook ups, campfire pits, fish ponds, access to the River leading to the Dead Lakes, Kayaking, Canoeing and picnic area. It was quiet & peaceful. Beautiful sunset on the River. Ghostly beautiful remnants of Tupelo and Cypress trees are all through the River and Lakes. It is nearby Port St Joe and Mexico Beach for a day outing along the Gulf waters. We highly recommend this awesome Park. The price is also very reasonable. Linda & Darrell Ontario, Canada
