Just wanted to write a review of River Birch Golf Course in Star, ID. I have played this course four times over the last two years and always have a good experience. Last night, 4/18/20, my wife wanted to go ‘golfing’ with the kids. And by golfing I mean she wanted to drive the cart and watch me play. Jon Albright, their Pro, was the nicest guy! He let me play solo and let us take two carts allowing my wife and two young kids to follow me as I played and only charged us for one cart. We got there about 5:30 and finished at 7:30 on the back nine. The course is always fun to play as I shot a 42 and had four pars, the rest boogies (which I’m satisfied with considering I only play a couple times a year and haven’t played since Thanksgiving in Florida). The staff is always nice at River Birch and we talked with Jon Albright before we left about getting our young kids and my wife into golf with lessons that he provides. I would definitely recommend this course in the Treasure Valley area.
