Ratho Golf Course

Australia's oldest golf course.

Reviewed By kevinn404 - Melbourne, Australia

Ratho Golf Course was great fun to play. Australia’s oldest golf club has some pretty quirky holes and some interesting design features including a Biarritz green on the 3rd hole. Leave your pretentious at home and enjoy the course for what it is, you won’t find many like this anywhere and well worth a visit at least once. It’s a must play for your golf enthusiast/nerd and the old fashioned hospitality is evident from start to finish.

Highlands Power Trail

Tour the Highlands Power Trail for a unique experience in the rugged Central Highlands of Tasmania, where a bold vision became a reality and changed the shape of Tasmania. This self-guided driving trail provides visitors with an insight into the history of hydro power within Tasmania, and the extraordinary challenges and achievements of the workers and community.

The Central Highlands Power Trail was a great way to see what things may have been like and see the history of Hydro Power. This is a self-guided drive and most of the drive is on a dirt road. You will also more than likely loose phone coverage part way along the trail. Make sure to stop at the Waddamana Power Station part way through the trail.

Spur of the moment visit. Excellent staff talking us through the whiskey making process and tasting. Beautiful buildings and surroundings. Great food. Whole experience an absolute plus for Tasmania. Might even become a whiskey drinker!
