We have four floors and a park (open May-September) with experiments that children, teenagers and adults can enjoy. The experiments tempt us into learning a little bit more about technology, physics, maths, geography, biology, how people work, illusions, and much, much more.
Even if you are not terribly interested in Science, I guarantee you would still enjoy a visit to Tom Tits Experiments. There is a wide variety of hands on experiments to take part in both inside and outside. The only one suggestion I would have is for a little more English signs. Some of the signs or explanations were only in Swedish. Other than that this place is a great place to take the family. Expect to be here at least for 4 hours or more. You have in and out privileges too so if you need a break and want to come back.
Tom Tits is just outside of Central Stockholm but can easily be accessed by commuter train. It took us about a 40 minute train ride and then a 5-10 minute walk. A bus transfer option was available but it was a beautiful day so we walked and took in the town a bit.
My family and I had a fantastic day! We would definitely be interested in going back again if we are back in Stockholm.

This place is great if you have small kids between the age 2-8 years old. Kids could see different animals, there is little house just for kids to play – with stove, small tables, beds where they can play and also for my niece the best attraction is to jump in to straw. She can spend there hours. However the best time for a visit is spring, summer and fall.
For adults there are few nice cafeterias with nice variety of cakes and sandwiches and one bakery where they bake nice cinnamon buns.

A very interesting church in Romanesque style, quite infrequent at these northern Latitude. The story of this building originating from the 12th century, and allegedly having been St. Bodvid's first burial place is fascinating, and so is the setting of the surrounding graveyard, overlooking the southern tip of Lake Born (Bornsjön).

Tourist information bureaus are a really useful place for travellers to visit. I found the assistant on the day I visited to be very helpful. However, as my visit progressed I found that some of the information I received to be inaccurate. I was given many brochures which were very useful and I did read those related to the sites I was interested in. However, the assistant recommended we take the hop on hop of boat (that was not operating at this time of year) and also recommended we visit the National Museum, which we did only to find it was closed for major renovations. We purchased a Stockholm Card and were told the only attractions we needed to pay for were City Hall and the ABBA museum, which we also found to be misleading. As such, this particular visit to the tourist office was disappointing.
