A Jesuit mission decorated with impressive paintings of scenes from the Old and New Testaments.
When we arrived, we went to the two small houses. One was selling crosses and some clothing. There were also clothing of American Indians and how they lived. There were lots to see about the sisters and brothers that were serving in the past. St. Ignatius Mission is the major attraction. There are stairs to enter in the St. Ignatius Mission. The church is made of red bricks. It was built in 1864. The benches are made of wood. On the ceiling we could learn what St. Ignatius did in this place. Where we went, we could walk up to the second floor. Thy were working at the front and a bit in the back. There were many paintings on Indian Americans. Worthwhile to see!

When we stepped out of our car, we saw wooden homes and a wagon that was falling apart. These were built in 1870. It was used as a bunkhouse. The logs were fitting together. They call this the Saddleback construction. The Four Winds Indian Trading Post were selling books, artifacts, jewelry and more. They were very friendly. Worthwhile to see!
