Learn the art of batik from the artist, Jaruwan Ponmak -Oi , who was awarded a degree in Classical Thai Painting from Pho Chang School of Fine Arts in Bangkok and has completed a series of large batik banners for the lobby of One Liberty Place, a high-rise commercial complex in Philadelphia, USA. It is one of the largest hand-painted batik decoration ever made.

I spent a whole day painting my silk scarf with Oi in her fabolous studio in the forest of Chiang Mai. Oi picked me up and helped me every step of the way for creating this masterpiece. I really enjoyed the whole process of batik with applying the wax and then paint your scarf. Oi especially helped me with picking the colors and made all my wishes and ideas come true! It took me quite a while to finish the scarf, but it was no problem and I stayed there till it was dark and my scarf was finished ???????? Don‘t miss this great experience!!

Chiang Mai Speedkart is definitely worth visit. We had such a great time with a group of good friends that is travelling with their young kids and couple teenagers. I like how the owner or manager Kuba take time to explain the safety, patiently and strict about the safety at the same time. Their karts are fast and well maintained. If you are looking for spending couple hours to create some memorable memories - this is the place for friends, family or couple. Highly recommended
