Almost opposite the new Stone Dog Museum, it's worth a look, if only to see the mini pagodas in the water - just like on the 1 Yuan note. On the far side of the lake - crossed via a classic Chinese zig zag bridge - is a lovely temple complex.

很多人去丽江乌镇后都会抱怨什么商业化太重，没有地方文化什么的，当你给ta推荐雷州时ta们又会说：去那种没名气的地方干嘛。名气和古朴本身就很矛盾，雷州就是一个很破旧朴素的老城，但老城的街道，格局，很多建筑都因此保留下来，生活方式也因为和外界接触不多从而保留下来。
在雷州外地人，尤其像我这种北方人比较显眼，走在路人总被人回头看。。。另外在雷州有两点我不太适应，一个是这边普通话不是很普及，遇到很多人都听不懂普通话，还有就是这边盛行早餐和夜宵，但中午不太好找地方吃饭。

well. it was ancient temple with interesting dog deco also some strong trees, many stone plaque and statues. quite big area & relaxing place. not so crowded & worth to view.
