This underground display is in honor of the ordinary citizens who died near Parliament in October 1956. They had come to hear speeches, but soviets came with tanks and guns. Various first-hand reports are presented along with photos. Visiting this memorial takes only a few minutes, but its message creates a horrified empathy for all Hungarian citizens endured..

Ecseri Flea Market (Ecseri bolhapiac)

A great place for treasure hunters. According to locals, you can find everything at this market.

Was here for work and spent the weekend. Managed using transit with the help of google maps and it was a piece of cake For those who complained its far from town center, it’s exactly where the map says it is...shame on you if you can’t read a map. The vendors spoke enough English to make the trip well worth while. I learned the Hungarian mark for pure silver and shared a laugh over menopause with a shop keeper. Yes, you can haggle and feel like you got a good deal. Given what the price would be for same in US, they were great prices. Enjoy!
