The Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot) is a wonderful swimming point and natural mineral pool filled by natural streams. It's located in Khlong Tham (Krabi province) in Thung Teao Forest Natural. It's about one hour from Krabi Town and one of the most attractive spots of the region. For getting to the pool, there are two trails; a 1.4 km signed jungle trail on boardwalks, and an 800 meters direct path. Both routes eventually lead to Emerald Pool. Passing through the trails, you will find streams and the tropical plants and finally a crystal-clear pool, Emerald Pool. The route to the pool is really interesting and a perfect nature experience. Beware of slippery rocks around the pond. If you are keen on swimming, you can swim in clear ambient temperature water of Emerald pool, It could be really a unique experience. But beware that there are No locker for keeping your clothes & No place for changing the clothes & No shower after swimming. Another Landmark of the Park is the Blue Pool, It's located 400 meters upstream from Emerald Pool. A 5-minute walk from the Emerald Pool. Blue Pool (Blue Lagoon) is supplied by a hot underground spring and it's surrounded by jungle and quicksand. The water in this pool is hotter and swimming is not allowed in blue pool. The vivid clear blue water of the Blue Pool is really magical and it attract your look strangely. I went to the Emerald Pool from Ao Nang Beach by rental car. It's a good idea to rent a car for visiting Emerald Pool and Hot Springs in one day. Going by rental car is better and cheaper than taking a tour for going there. It took about 1.5 hrs. to get to the Pool from Ao Nang Beach. I got to the Pool almost late and I had to park my car in the nearby greenery, instead of parking in Emerald Pool’s Parking Lot and after that I had to walk 10 minutes (in Krabi hot weather) to get to the Pool’s Entrance. The entrance fee was 200 Bht. When in Krabi, Going to the Emerald Pool is highly recommended. Go there early in the morning to take much pleasure from bathing in the Morning’s Fresh Clear Water.

We hired a car for the day and got here at about 1130. There were a few people but not overcrowded. The warmth of the pool was amazing and you could have sat in the water for as long as you like. It was very relaxing and a very beautiful place to see in its natural form. The entrance fee is price of a cocktail so really not expensive at all and worth it. Best to go not on a tour as that way you are not rushed. After enjoying the warm water, climb down and dive into the pool at the bottom. Very refreshing and ladder is there is allow easy access from the water
