The Amber Museum in Jaroslawiec is not another boring exhibition. There are not another rows of showcases and long descriptions. Instead of it we are taking you to the reconstruction of a prehistoric forest where the Baltic amber was born. You will see what determined shape and colour of each piece of amber. You will almost touch the history which happened more than 42 years ago.

It is a private museum just half an hour from Ustka. I have been to many Amber museums but this was little different, in the sense that you enter an era to have the feel how the amber was created. If you are a person who is looking at displays and moving on, it is not for you. I liked the details which was on every screen to educate about amber, types, regions etc and also fantastic animation film about how amber is created. You can find amber in the sand and take it home...doesn't matter how many you find, all of them are yours. Very friendly staff. Of course , you have a the feeling that wish it was little more as you go with flow of the exhibition but worth the money with all the descriptions in Polish, English and German. For me any museum with English description helps a lot and this was really crafted well. It is short and sweet. The products in the shop look amazing and tempting but little expensive for my taste. I love to collect soaps and it was little on the expensive side for me but for others it could be normal price. In short I could say - WORTH THE VISIT!
