Family owned Lago Winery is located on a 200 year Estate beautifully nestled in the slopes above Pymatuning Lake. On the border of Pennsylvania and Ohio, its never too far to another world.
Made the trip to Lago Winery at the suggestions of friends in PA....and I'm glad we did. The scenery was lovely, very rustic and charming. My husband and I love red blends and the Lago Trilogy didn't disappoint. We had a tasting and bought two bottles. Wish I had bought more. Haven't yet opened the Midnight Run that we bought. Because the back patio was still under construction, they weren't serving food that day. So we went next door to Mortal Key Brewery. There, we sat outside and had very juicy burgers and fries with a flavorful wheat/wit beer (can't remember what it was called). The Farmers Market was disappointing though. They really shouldn't call it that since there were no vegies, etc for sale. Didn't stay for the evening band but I'm told it's lots of fun, can get pretty rowdy at night.

We took our kids and my sister and her husband for the 1 mile tubing trip. The overall experience was fun. The website was not super informative and would of loved more info before we went. Water shoes are a must if you are tubing....MoreThanks for the review! We will be implementing some of your suggestions for next year! We appreciate your feedback.

Stayed this past weekend at Jamestown Campground Pyamtuning site #250. The sites here all seemed to be very spacious. Campground is clean, shower houses were all very clean as well. The DCNR comes through frequently to make sure everything is good. Only complaint about our site location was the noise from the road.

I took a bus load of 2nd graders here for a field trip. I was very impressed as most of the children were as to how many different kinds of animals and birds they had there. The place seemed well kept and clean. You could also feed most of the animals as you came to them
